Replace Platform Box  NOTE Platform Box and mounting plate come as one unit. Do not try to remove Platform Box from mounting plate. All cable ends are unique and will fit only one way, except for the two power cables (2 and 4, Figure 4B2). These have the same ends and are interchangeable. If reversed, the Laser Scanner or the Compute Box will not receive power and will not work.   Platform Box is approved for this application by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). FCC ID: 2AMDR00067. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.  Changes or modifications to this device, not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance, could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.   REMOVAL 1. Park A50 on a level floor.  2. Power off the A50. a. Press I/O switch (1, Figure 4B1) on the Control Panel. Control Panel lights will turn off. Brakes will apply automatically. b. Raise the hood. c. Raise the rear well cover to expose batteries. d. Disconnect the main battery power supply. This removes all power to the system.  e. Lower rear well cover.       Figure 4B1. 3. Confirm that blue LED (8, Figure 4B2) is not lit. This confirms that power to the Platform Box is off.  4. Disconnect Laser Scanner Ethernet cable (5, Figure 4B2).  5. Disconnect Compute Box Ethernet cable (4, Figure 4B2).   6. Disconnect RID Antenna cable (3, Figure 4B2).  7. Disconnect Compute Box power cable (2, Figure 4B2) (PN 56104677).  8. Disconnect Laser Scanner power cable (1, Figure 4B2) (PN ??? Nilfisk). 9. Disconnect Proximity Sensor harness (11, Figure 4B2). (PN 56104791). 10. Disconnect 23 pin harness (10, Figure 4B2) (PN ??? Nilfisk).   11. Remove four screws (9s, Figure 4B2) holding Platform Box and mounting plate to A50.   12. Lift Platform Box (6, Figure 4B2) with mounting plate (7, Figure 4B2) from the machine.  13. Return Platform Box to manufacturer for repair.   Figure 4B2. Platform Box INSTALLATION 14. Position Platform Box (6, Figure 4B2) with mounting plate (7, Figure 4B2) for mounting.  15. Install four screws) (9, Figure 4B2) holding Platform Box and mounting plate to A50.   16. Connect 23 pin harness (10, Figure 4B2) (PN ??? Nilfisk) to Platform Box.  17. Connect Proximity Sensor harness (11, Figure 4B2) (PN 561047891) to Platform Box. 18. Connect Laser Scanner power cable (1, Figure 4B2) (PN ??? Nilfisk) to Platform Box. 19. Connect Compute Box power cable (2, Figure 4B2) (PN 56104677) to Platform Box. 20. Connect RID Antenna cable (3, Figure 4B2) to Platform Box.  21. Connect Compute Box Ethernet cable (4, Figure 4B2) (PN 56104678) to Platform Box.  22. Connect Laser Scanner Ethernet cable (5, Figure 4B2) (PN ??? Nilfisk) to Platform Box. 23. Connect the main power supply. 24. Power on the A50. a. Raise the rear well cover. b. Connect the main battery power supply. This restores power to the system. c. Lower rear well cover. d. Lower the hood.   e. Press 1/O switch (1, Figure 4A1) on the Control panel until Control Panel lights turn on. This powers the control system. Brakes will release automatically.
25. Power on the A50. Press “I/O” toggle switch on the Control Panel (1, Figure 4A1). Control panel lights should come on.   26. Raise the hood. 27. Check that blue LED on Platform Box (8, Figure 4B2) is lit. This means the Platform Box is getting power.  28. Lower and the latch hood.
