3 Text Entry3.1 Input MethodYour cellular phone supports several input methods, whichinclude:ABC/Abc/abc/ES/Es/esNumeric (123)3.1.1 Changing the input modesDuring text editing, you can press the Shift Key to switch inputmodes.Or press the Left Soft Key [Options] and choose InputMethod to select different input modes.3.1.2 Entering SymbolsIn any input mode, press the Symbol Key to open thesymbols input screen. Select Menu > Messaging > Write message >Textmessage.2. Write a message, please refer to the Text entrysection of this manual for detailed information.3. After entering text, you can access the send optionsby pressing the Left Soft Key [Options] and then selectSend to.4. Enter the recipient number, or choose a contact fromphonebook.5. press the the Left Soft Key [Options] and select sendto send the message.5.2.2 Creating a multimedia message1. Select Menu >Messaging > Write message >Multimedia message.2. Edit the content of the message; press the Left Soft Key[Options] can add the picture, sound and other objectinto the message.3. For the activation, please contactyour service provider.5.4 Call center5.4.1View Call History1. Select Menu > Call center > Call history.2. Press the Navigation Key to view different call logs.3. Choose a particular number and press the Dial Key to callthe number directly.4. Select Delete call logs if you want.5.5 WAPYour phones support Web Browser. You can obtain variousservices such as up-to date news, weather, sport, and otherinformation as well as other Internet services. These servicesare designed and maintained by WAP service providers.Note: To activate WAP service, you may need to contactyour service provider.5.6 FacebookFacebook is a social utility that connects people with friendsand others who work, study and live around.This feature supports quick and easy access to Facebook onyour phone. You can use Facebook to keep up with friends.

Enter the first few letters of the contact name to search.Note: You can also press the Navigation key Down toaccess the contact list.5.8.2 Add New ContactTo create a new SIM/phone contact:1. Select Menu > Phonebook > Add new contact.2. Enter all related information about the contact.3. Press the OK Key to save the contact details.5.8.3 Phonebook settings1. Select Menu > Phonebook.2. If you select a contact, press the Left Soft Key[Options] can send message, call, edit, copy, move,and so on.3. Select one item, press the Left Soft Key [Options] andselect Phonebook settings.4. Now you can set the speed dial, view the memorystatus, copy or move contacts, and so on.
5.9 EmailSelect Main Menu > Email.Select Email accounts to add an email account.Touch Options and select New account to create an emailaddress. Now you can enter the email address, protocol, dataaccount, incoming server, outgoing server, user name,password, and account name.When you finish, the account will be saved automatically. Youcan now select Options and choose Activate to activate thisaccount.Go back to the previous menu and select Send and receive torefresh your mailbox.5.10 Fun & GamesYour cellular phone provides you with several games.You can also adjust the game settings when you enter thegame menu.5.11 SettingsYou can configure your cellular phone to best suit your usagepreferences.5.11.1 user profilesActivate user profiles1. Select Menu > User profiles.2. Select one of the profile.3. Select Customize to adjust the settings.4. Back to previous menu, select Activate.5.11.2 Phone SettingsThis menu option allows you to set phone parameters such astime and date, schedule power on/off, language, Pref. inputmethods,Encoding, Display,Themes,Greeting text,Shortcuts,Dedicated key,Auto update time,Flight mode and Misc.settings.5.11.3 Network settings
Network SelectionNew Search: Touch to search for a new network.Select Network: Touch to select a network from the networklist.Selection Mode: Touch to choose your network manually orautomatically.PreferencesThe phone will try to register on the network, according to yourpreferences.Service selectionTouch it to modify your Service selection: GSM, WCDMA,Automatic.Network informationThis feature allow you to view the detail of the networkinformation which you are using.GPRS ConnectionTouch it to modify your GPRS connection: When needed, oralways.GPRS transfer pref.Touch to set the GPRS transfer preference. You can chooseData prefer or Call prefer.HSPA preferenceTouch to turn off the HSPA.5.11.4 Security SettingsSIM securityTo prevent your SIM card from illegal use, your SIM card isprotected by a PIN code. If you set the SIM lock to On, youcan only use your mobile phone by entering the correct PINcode every time you turn it on. If you enter the wrong PIN codethree times, your SIM card will be locked and a PUK code willbe required. Contact your service provider for moreinformation.
Phone securityTo prevent your cellular phone from illegal use, you canactivate the Phone Lock option. If activated, you will need toenter the correct Phone lock password before you can use thephone.When you set it to on or off, the phone lock password is alsorequired.If you forget the password, contact your service provider forassistance in unlocking the phone.Note: The initial password is 1234. If you want to change yourpassword, go to Settings > Security Settings>Phonesecurity > Change Password.Auto keypad lockSelect to set the time for auto keypad lock. If the time expires,the keypad will be locked automatically.Certificate managerSelect to view, delete, or set the key usage.5.11.5 ConnectivityHere you can configure the data account, and use theBluetooth.BluetoothYour phone is designed to be compliant with Bluetoothtechnology. Bluetooth technology enables wirelessconnections between electronic devices. The Bluetoothconnection can be used to listen to stereo music, send images,video, texts and vCards.Connection managementThis function supports to manage the connections.Data AccountYou can access WAP via GPRS. To get the analogue numberor ISDN number information, you may need to contact youroperator for the service. To get the access point of GPRS, youmay need to contact your operator for the service.
Internet ServicesThis feature supports you to Access various internet options.HomepageOnce connected, the homepage is displayed. The contentdepends on the service provider. To exit the browser, pressthe End Key.BookmarksYou can use this menu to save URL addresses to quickaccess a website.Input addressYou can key in the URL address. When you are done, selectOptions > Go to. Your phone will connect the URL you justkeyed in. After the address is entered, you may select the URLand select Options > Go to to connect next time.Last web addressPress to access the last web address you visited.Recent pagesYou can view the recent pages you have visited.Stored pagesTouch to view the pages you have storedSettingsGPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is a technology thatuse for sending and receiving data over the mobile network.If the settings have made by the service provider, you maybegin immediately. Otherwise, you may key in settingsmanually.You can also restore browser settings here.5.11.6 Restore Factory SettingsYou will be required to enter the phone lock password torestore the phone to its original factory settings. After enteringand confirming the correct phone lock password, most of thesettings in your cellular phone will be restored to factorysettings.
5.11.7 Sound effectsThis function allows you to set Audio effect and turn on or offBass enhancement.5.11.8 Call settings1. Select Menu > Settings>Callsettings.2. Now you can set the call waiting, call divert, call barringand so on.5.12 OrganizerThis menu contains features and options designed to keepyou organized and informed while on the go.5.12.1 CalendarThis feature allows you to keep track of your schedule andtasks saved in the calendar. You can also switch on the alarmwith the task for reminding.To make a note and reminder in Calendar for the first time:3. In Organizer menu, choose Calendar.4. Select a day in the calendar5. Select Options >View to view the event. You can alsoselect Options > Add event to add a new event.6. Choose a type of the event and then Input other details.After you finish editing the event, select OK to save.5.12.2 TasksYou can also view, edit or delete the tasks from the optionsunder this feature. For the first-time user, you will need tofollow the steps below:1. Select Add in the Task List. Then choose the task type.2. Edit your Task by entering date, time, Subject, Alarm,Repeat and other information.3. You can choose to turn the alarm on as the reminder.4. Select OK and Yes to save your task.5.12.3 Alarm1. Select Menu > Organizer > Alarm.2. Select an alarm and then press the Left soft Key [Edit]
to create.3. Use the Navigation Key to turn it on or off.4. Enter other information, such as time, repeat, and soon.5.12.4 World clockYou can view the local date and time via selecting the city.When the cross points out a certain city, it will show the localdate and time.5.12.5 Notes1. From the main menu, select Organizer > Notes.2. Press Left Soft Key [Add] to add notes, edit the notes, thenselect Options > Done to save.5.13 Herramientas5.13.1 JavaIn this menu ,you can access the Java application here.5.13.2 Java settingsThis feature allows you to chang the Java settings.5.13.3 Java default settingsIn this menu,you can configure the third party and Untrusteddomain settings , you can also reset to default settings.5.13.4 CalculatorCalculator applies simple calculator function such as addition,subtraction, multiplications and division.5.13.5 Unit converterThis feature helps you to convert either the weight or length toa different unit.5.13.6 StopwatchThis function is designed to store the timepiece, which is tostart or stop for exact timing.To use stopwatch1. From the main menu select Herramientas >Stopwatch.2. Select Typical stopwatch. You can choose differentrecord methods and view records.
Split Timing: When you select this, thetimepiece will be saved and continue to countwhen you press Split. The 2nd timepiece isrecorded based on the continuous timing. You canstop and resume anytime.Lap Timing: When you select this, thetimepiece will be saved and start the new timingwhen you press Lap. The 2nd timepiece isrecorded in new timing. You can stop and resumeanytime.View records: You can view thosetimepieces you have recorded or delete therecords.3. Select nWaystopwatch. You can make four records.5.14 File Manager1. Select Menu > File manager.2. When you highlight one of them, the related memoryinformation is displayed at the top of the screen,including total volume and free volume.Note: If you want to view the files in T-Flash card, pleaseinsert the T-Flash card first.6 Safety Information and NoticesUsing the Cellular Phone and ChargerDanger:Only use the battery and charger approved by themanufacturer. Using other brands may cause battery leakage,overheating, explosion or even fire.Caution:Keep the phone away from dust, water and damp areas. Dust,water or other liquids may cause overheating, electricalleakage, and/or phone failure.
The phone, battery, charger and AC adapter are notwaterproof. Keep them away from rain and liquid.When charging, please place the phone in an environmentthat has a normal room temperature and good ventilation. It isrecommended to charge the phone in an environment with atemperature that ranges from 0ºC ~40ºC.The maximum operating ambient temperature of theequipment declared by the manufacturer is 55 ºC.Warning:Do not bump, shake or tamper with the phone or charger. Thismay cause battery leakage, overheating, explosion or evenfire.Do not place the battery, phone or charger near a microwaveor high-voltage device. This may damage the product,overheat the battery, or pose a risk to the vehicle.Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) informationThis mobile phone meets the government’s requirements forexposure to radio waves.This phone is designed and manufactured not to exceed theemission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energyset by the Federal Communications Commission of the U.S.Government.The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs aunit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate,or SAR. The SAR limit set is 1.6W/kg. *Tests for SAR areconducted using standard operating positions with the phonetransmitting at its highest certified power level in all testedfrequency bands. Although the SAR is determined at thehighest certified power level, the actual SAR level of the phonewhile operating can be well below the maximum value.
