CenTrak Alert Tag IT‐753* • • • • • • IT‐753 CenTrak Alert Tag Audible Sound Alert Capability LED Flash Alert Capability Staff Duress Call Designed for use with the CenTrak Hand Hygiene Compliance System Attaches to a standard hospital issued ID Badge CenTrak Hybrid RTLS Technology for room and bed‐level accuracy The Alert Tag (IT‐753) has the capability of alerting with audible sound. The Alert Tag is available with a staff badge holder and comes standard with 1 programmable button. This tag was developed to work along with the Hygiene Monitor as part of the CenTrak Hand Hygiene Compliance System, but can also be used for solutions such as staff locating, staff duress call and workflow optimization. When used for hand hygiene compliance, it works as a proactive reminder to caregivers of non‐compliance events; the system automatically captures a specific caregiver’s badge ID and entry to and exit from patient care areas along with hand hygiene events. The Hygiene Monitor communicates each event to the network and records each caregiver’s compliance performance. All of the recorded data is stored on CenTrak’s local or hosted server and can be accessed by compliance management and reporting solutions. The battery powered Hygiene Monitors can be mounted to any dispenser, canister, pump, or sink to track their usage. Battery‐ powered Monitors transmit a unique room number using Gen2IR which is received by any tag in that room. The tag communicates the room number and its own unique ID via RF to the CenTrak Location Server using a hospital’s existing wired or WiFi network, where it can be accessed in real‐time by hospital personnel and integrated with third party solution providers. Similar to light, Gen2IR will not pass through walls and does not suffer from traditional infrared lin‐of‐sight limitations. Therefore, when a tag reads a room number, there are no errors. This is certainty‐based RTLS. Unlike estimation‐ based information, certainty based location data can be used by hospitals to make important improvements to process flow and automate decision making. Most healthcare workflow improvements can only be realized when the location data is certainty‐based. *IT‐753 is for use with the CenTrak 2.0 system.
