CenTrak Staff Badge IT‐744 & IT‐744E* CenTrak Staff Badge IT‐744 • CenTrak Gen2IR™ Technology for room and bed‐level accuracy • Three customizable buttons • System controlled LED • Ultra thin (only 3.8 mm) and light weight • Audible alert functionality • Shape and size of a standard hospital issued badge • Hole mounts for portrait or landscape to wear behind a standard badge • Water resistant and easy to clean • Long battery life CenTrak Staff Badge IT‐744E • All the features and benefits of IT‐744, plus it also includes a Low Frequency (LF) sensor. • Designed to be used with CenTrak’s Low Frequency Monitors to create choke points and with CenTrak’s Hand Washing Monitors. Today’s hospitals have a critical need to locate personnel throughout their facilities. They require a reliable RTLS to optimize patient care and ensure the safety of its personnel. The CenTrak staff badge was developed to meet this need and includes several unique features that improve upon legacy staff locating technology. The CenTrak Staff Badge can be mounted onto the loop used to hold a standard hospital‐issued employee badge. The Staff Badge is designed to stay with the caregiver, thus eliminating the need for separate processes that require daily tagging of personnel. It is water resistant and can be easily cleaned. Each Staff Badge has three customizable buttons that can be assigned based upon the RTLS use case. About CenTrak Gen2IR™ Technology The CenTrak core RTLS differs from legacy systems with its combined use of a patented second‐generation infrared (Gen2IR™) and active‐RFID technology. Battery‐powered Monitors transmit a unique room number using Gen2IR which is received by any tag in that room. The tag communicates the room number and its own unique ID via RF to the CenTrak Location Server using a hospital’s existing wired or Wi‐Fi network, where it can be accessed in real‐time by hospital personnel and integrated with third party solution providers. Therefore, when a tag reads a room number, there are no errors. This is certainty‐based RTLS. Unlike estimation‐ based information, certainty based location data can be used by hospitals to make important improvements to process flow and automate decision making.
