The Opener can be used as a replaoernent'torQor in ad-
dition to, most older style remote oontrottransmitters. It
can be programmed to operate up to three garage door
openers or gates, including diiierent bra—ads, It your sys-
tem uses code swttches, you must program the Opener
to match the existing code. If your existing system does
not use code swttches, you may program the Opener to
any random code. All programming is done with the 3
buttons on the Opener.
We suggest that you iirst read through this Owner's
Manual in its entirety, then return to “Preparation" tor
brand and code Identification. After you know tnls infor-
mation about your operator system, reter to “Program-
ming the Opener‘ on Page 3 to program the brand and
code Into your Opener. This procedure should take only
a tew moments. Once you are tamiliar With how your
Opener works, reler to “Quick Start" tor subsequent pro—
gramming.
Note: Changes or modifications to this product not ex—
pressiy approved by RadioShack, or operation of this
product in any way other than as detailed by the own—
ers manual, could void your authority to operate this
product.

Mess the button you want to use to open your door
or gate. The number at times you press the button
corresponds with the number next to your system's
brand name (see the beginning at "Preparation").

der “Preparation.")

and hold the button that you want to use to open
your door or gate, bnetly press the receiver‘s smart
button, then release both buttons.
PREPARATION
Belore you proceed, note the number that corresponds
with the brand name or the system you Will program the
Opener to operate. Mark an X next to that brand. (It you
Will program the Opener to operate more than one sys-
tem. mark an X next to the brand you will program first.)

Receiver Panel
Alter you till tn the table. vertty that the code numbers
match your system’s Switch setttngs. Then proceed to
“Programmtrtg the Opener" on Page 3.
- II your system has code switches, you must pro-
gram the Opener to match your system's code,
Proceed to the table in thts sectton that shows the

PROGRAMMING TH ‘iOPErtWER
Before you begin to program the Opener. determine
which button you want to use to operate your system.
The other two buttons can be used lor additional garage
door or gate operating systems.
To avoid delays during programming, be sure all the ‘in-
lormation you need is handy. Note the number next to
the brand name of your system (see the beginning at
“Preparation" on Page 1), Also, be ready to reler to the
table you filled in on Page 2.
Note: After Steps 1 and 2, you have 15 seconds to pro-
ceed to the next step. It you wait longer than 15 sec—
ends to press a button, the Opener exits the
programming mode It this happens, begin again With
Step 1.
1 To enter the Opener's programming mode, press
and hold 4 and P at the same time. When the red
indicator starts to blink, release both buttons.
2. Remember the number next to your system's
brand name. When the indicator stops blinking,
press the button that you want to operate your sys-
tem that many times, (For example, it you have a
Sears system. press the selected button lour
times.) Then wait about 4 seconds lor the red indi—
cator to blink the same number ol times.
3. From the table you tilled in on Page 2. enter your
code into the opener. Beginning with the lirst col—
umn, press and release the button that corre-

For example. it you wrote these numbers in the la-
ble, press Button 1 three times, Button 2 twice. and
Button 3 tour times.

Immediately aiter you press the last button, the

brand name. When it stops blinking:
- If your system has code swnches, programming
is complete and the Opener is ready to open and
close your garage door or gate. Test it to make
sure it operates your system,
