User Manual Outdoor Temperature Transmitter Features Outdoor temperature measuring range : -58oF to 158oF; -50oC to 70oC LED transmission indicator 2 “AAA” size battery (batteries not included) 82 feet operating range without interference (metal surfaces, electrical devices, etc) 3-channel selection Wall mountable Buttons TEST (TX) button RESET (RE) button CHANNEL SELECTION (1 2 3 ) switch Operation Insert 2 “AAA” alkaline batteries into the unit following the polarity shown in the battery compartment. Each time the temperature is measured the remote will transmit the data immediately. The red LED on the front of the transmitter will flash once. Pressing the TEST key once will immediately transmit temperature. Use the CHANNEL SELECTION switch to choose your preferred channel. When using only 1 remote sensor Channel 1 is the most common choice. Please note that subfreezing temperatures will lower the power output of the batteries and affect the transmission range and effectiveness of the remote unit. Severe cold, -12oF/-24oC, will freeze the batteries and prevent the unit from functioning. Interference from electrical devices, metal siding, security systems, etc may limit the transmission range. It is recommended you try several locations to find the best location for the transmitter. Wireless transmitters are not universal. Transmitters made by other companies will not work with an Acu>Rite instrument and vice versa. Additional transmitters may be purchased at www.chaneyinstrument.com. The package of this transmitter is marked with an A as are the packages of all Acu>Rite transmitters this product will function with. Reset Operation After the batteries are inserted, the sensor will start to measure the outdoor temperature and transmit the temperature data to the base unit. Pressing the RESET button will restart this procedure. Statement This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
