cordless phone.
Before first Use
Please read IMPORTANT SAFET Y INSTRUCTIONS on pages
25~26before use.

Take out from box: cordless handset, belt clip and base unit, in
addition each carton contains the following accessories:

9. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords as this will result in
the risk of fire or electric shock.
10. Never introduce objects into this unit through the slots as this may
risk in fire or electric shock hazard. Never spill any liquid on the unit.
11. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble this unit,
instead take it to a qualified service station for checking . Opening or
removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltages or other risks.
Incorrect repair jobs can be highly dangerous.
12. Unplug this unit from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified
service personnel under the following conditions:
A. When the power supply cord or plug is damaged.
B. If liquid has been spilled over the unit.
C. If the unit has been exposed to rain or water.
D. If the unit does not work normally upon following the instruction.
Adjust only controls covered by the operating instructions, to avoid

E. If the unit has been dropped or damaged.

Important safety instructions
When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock
and injury to persons, including following items:
1. Please understand all instructions in the operation manual.
2. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on this unit.
3. Unplug this unit from wall outlets and telephone jacks before
cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for
the job.
Battery Charge
To power the handset, install the battery and charge it for
about 24 hours before initial use.
Operating Distance/Noise
Calls are transmitted between the base unit and the handset using
wireless radio waves. To find out max distance and limit of noise
free operation, you have to follow these rules:
Keep away from electrical
appliances, such as a T V,
PC or another cordless
phone.
In a HIGH and CENTRAL
location stay away from
obstructions such as walls.
4. Do not use this unit near water, for example, near a bath tub, wash
bowl, kitchen sink. If the unit comes in contact with any liquid, cut the
power and unplug cords immediately. Do not reconnect the unit before
totally dried.
5. Put this unit securely on a stable surface. Serious damage may result
from falling.
6. Do not cover slots and openings of the unit, they are needed for
ventilation and protection against overheating. Never place the unit
near hot places where proper ventilation is not provided.
7. Use only the battery and adapter of the same type we offer.
8. Do not place objects on the power cord. Put the unit where no one
can step on the cord.

Charge Pins
The handset is located beyond the

Make sure the telephone line cord
is connected firmly to the base
unit and the telephone jack.

Your phone may be too far away

You may have too many extension

Deleting a single Caller ID number
1. Press s or t button, the LCD shows the total number of CID numbers
and new numbers.(ALL XX NEW XX)

Call ID on call waiting
When you have subscribed to call waiting service from your local
telephone company, this telephone can indicate the name and
number of the second caller while you are having a conversation
with the first caller.
You can press F button to answer the 2nd caller. After the call, you
can press this button once more to continue the first conversation.

1. In standby mode, press MEMO button, then the LCD shows the total
number of records.
(2) Insert new batteries as indicated, matching correct polarity
(+, -).
(3) Slide the cover up until it snaps in place.
2. Press F button twice, then all of the records will be deleted.
Deleting a single record from phone book
1. Find out the record you want to delete. Please see "Reviewing names
and numbers in phone book" for details.
2. Press F button twice, then the record will be deleted.

Description
In standby mode: In this mode, the LCD will show the handset number,
date and real time.

c. Enter the first character of the caller's name, then press MEMO
button. The LCD shows the matching records, press s or t button to
get your desired record.
Modifying names and numbers in phone book
HS-1
IN USE indicator:
After pressing button, the TALK will turn on, in use indicator on base
unit and handset will be bright steadily, which indicates that the unit is
in use mode. The timer will turn on after about 6 seconds.
1. Find out the record you want to modify. Please see "Reviewing
names and numbers in phone book" for details.
2. Press SEL button to enter the modifying mode, the last digit of the
number flashes.
NEW call:
If there are new calls in memory, the NEW icon will turn on and flash.
After all the new calls have been reviewed, the icon will turn off.
3. Enter the new number by keypad. If necessary, press F button to
delete the error digits.
REPEAT icon:
If a call comes repeatedly, the RPT icon will turn on.
4. Press MEMO button to confirm and enter the name modification.
Battery indicator:
If the battery is low, the battery low icon will show as
END OF LIST
This message will display when reaching the top (end) of the phone
book or Caller ID list by using the s or t button.
PRIVATE
If the caller has exercised the option to prevent his number from being
sent, it will be shown on the screen.

5. Enter the new name by keypad. If necessary, press F button to delete
the error characters.
6. Press MEMO button to confirm.
Dialling a number from phone book
1. Find out the record you want to dial. Please see "Reviewing names
and numbers in phone book" for details.

Storing names and numbers to phone book
You can store up to 60 names and numbers in the memory.
1. Adding names and numbers to phone book:
1. In standby mode, input the number you want to store by keypad.
2. Press MEMO button and then the LCD will show name.
3. Enter the name by keypad. If the next character is on the same button
as the previous one, you need to for about 2 seconds before entering
the next character. You can press F button to delete the error characters.
4. Press MEMO button to confirm and exit.
2. Copying Caller ID numbers to phone book:
1. In standby mode, press s or t button repeatedly to find out the
Caller ID number you want to add.
OUT OF AREA
This message will display when someone calls from an area where the
telephone company is not offering the caller identification services or
is not yet providing name and number delivery to your area via the long
distance net work.
ERROR
If there are some error information in the incoming number or your
telephone cannot receive the information correctly, the LCD will show
ERROR. This does not mean that there is something wrong with your
phone.
MESSAGE WAITING
If you have voice mail service from your telephone company and a
recorded message is left, the "MESSAGE" will turn on and flash. You can
press F button twice to delete the icon.
NOTE: This function should be supported by your local telephone
company.
2. If the number with caller's name, press MEMO button to store. If the
number without caller's name, press MEMO button, then enter the
name. After that, press MEMO button again to store.
Reviewing names and numbers in phone book
In standby mode, press MEMO button, then the LCD shows the total
number of records.

1. Make sure the base unit is connected into the AC outlet and line
jack.
2. Press and hold the
button on the base unit. After 3 seconds,
press the CH button on the handset, the unit will give you a
confirmation beep, which means that the code has been set and the
handset will show HS -1 on the LCD.
3. If you have a second handset need to be registered to the same
base, press the CH button on the handset until you get a beep and
the display shows HS -2 . Continue the same procedure, if you have a
third handset. If not, release the
button from the base unit.

In talk mode, if the handset is too far away from base unit, an out of
range warning tone will be heard. The user should move closer to the

Line transfer
If extra handsets are set to the base unit:
1. During a phone conversation, press SEL button and handset number.
The line will be hold and make music sounds to the other end, both the
two handsets will ring.
2. The other handset can press
button to answer the call
automatically after receiving the transfer ring.
3. Press
button to cancel the transfer if the other handset user does
not want to answer the call during the transfer ring.
4. If the two handsets do not respond within 40 seconds, the line will be
disconnected automatically.
Settings
In standby mode, press SEL button once, then the LCD will show
PROGRAM to indicate you enter the setting mode.
Paging

Press SEL button, then 2 button, and then the current level contrast
adj X(X=1,2,3,4) will show on the LCD. Press s or t button to get the
desired level and press SEL button once more to confirm and exit.
CH button
During the conversation, the phone will scan the clear channel
automatically. If you still hear noise or static, press the CH button to find
a clearer channel.
NOTE: It takes about 2 seconds for the unit to scan a channel.
Pause function
Ringer setting
Press SEL button, then 3 button, and then the current mode RING
ON/OFF will show on the LCD. Press s or t button to
activate/deactivate the ringer function. Press SEL button once more
to confirm and exit.
Time setting
This function allows you to insert a temporary pause during dialling
sequence. For example, dialling an international number (e.g. 011-88622-795-1234), some telephone company systems will not register the
entire number entry without a pause between the prefix numbers. You
may have to dial 011- R/P, dial 886 - R/P. This allows adequate timing for
the phone number to register with the telephone company's system
and complete the call.
Keys confirmation tone
Every time you press a key, your handset acknowledges it with a key
tone.
Battery low warning and shut down protection
Press SEL button, then 4 button, and then the SET TIME will show on
the LCD and the digit for MONTH will flash. Press s or t button to
get the desired digit then press SEL button to confirm and enter the
next item (the sequence is MONTH-DAY-HOUR-MINUTE). After the
setting, press SEL button to confirm and exit.
Receiver volume and tone setting
You can increase the volume and adjust the receiver tone according
to your own hearing requirements. The receiver volume and tone
select switch within the battery compartment allows extra-receiver
and tone function to be activated or not during the conversation. If
you move the receiver volume and tone select switch to up
position, the amplify function will be activated and the LED indicator
will lit up, you can adjust the receiver tone and receiver volume
button to get the desired volume level.
Once the battery voltage is low, the low battery icon will turn on.
The low battery warning tone will also be generated if the handset is in
talk mode. You can press
button to return to standby mode, then
replace it on the base to recharge.

NOTE:
1.If you move the volume and tone receiver select switch up, the
amplify function are automatically activated each time you use the
phone. If you want to deactivate the function temporarily, press the
amplify button once, at the same time, the LED turns off.
2.If you turn the volume and tone receiver select switch down, the
amplify function are automatically deactivated each time you use the
phone, you will need to activate the function temporarily by pressing
the amplify button.
Vibration function
You can move the shaking switch to up position, when a call is
receiving, the handset will shake. To turn off this function, just move
the shaking switch to down position.
Basic Function
To make a call
1. Press
button and wait for a dial tone.
2. Dial the telephone number.
3. During a call, you can press F button to get a new dial tone for
another call or switch to call waiting.
To receive a call
To receive a call, just press
button.
To end a call
To end a call, just press
button.
Pre-dialling function
1. In standby mode, dial your desired number. You can press F button to
delete the incorrect digits.
2. If the phone number is correct, press
you can start your conversation.
