Precautions [Introduction] The FIPO enables you to use wired speaker or car audio system in a wireless way with Bluetooth technology. BLUETOOTH 2.0 A2DP/ AVRCP Usable with iPod speaker accessory High-quality sound streaming The FIPO receives high quality streaming music from the Bluetooth mobile phones or Bluetooth enabled iPod to play music on iPod accessories like speakers. Remote control function The FIPO can control PLAY/STOP/FWD/RWD of the music on the iPod or Mobile Phones by the control keys and buttons on the iPod accessory devices. Slim and Stylish design The FIPO’s handy and modern design fits for iPod accessories. FIPO User Manual [Part description] The FIPO enables you to use wired speaker or car audio system in a wireless way with Bluetooth technology. Status LED 30pin iPod Dock Connector Size (Height x Length x Width): 27 x 40 x 7 mm Weight: 7.5 g [Connecting the FIPO with the iPod accessory] Connect the FIPO instead of iPod to iPod accessory or car music system through the 30 pin iPod Dock connector of iPod accessory. The iPod accessory supplies power and turns on the FIPO. Some iPod accessories that also can be operated on batteries must be connected to main power to provide power to the FIPO. [Connecting the FIPO with a mobile phone or a sound source device] Pairing For initial use of the FIPO, you need to go through the proper steps to pair it with Bluetooth devices capable of music streaming such as Bluetooth mobile phones or Bluetooth enabled iPod with Bluetooth dongle. The FIPO is available to pair all the times unless it is connected to the Bluetooth devices. FIPO User Manual Go to the Bluetooth menu on the Bluetooth device and search for the stereo headset devices. ① Select the “FIPO” among the searched devices. ② Type “0000” at Pass/Pin code when required. ③ You will see the blue LED of the FIPO blinks twice quickly when it is connected. Auto re-connection The FIPO will try to re-connect to the Bluetooth device which was connected lastly under following conditions. ① When the FIPO turns on with the power supplied. ② when it was disconnected from the paired Bluetooth device with an improper procedure. Follow below paring procedure to disable the auto-reconnection function. ① Go to the Bluetooth menu on the Bluetooth device and search for the stereo headset devices. ② Select the “FIPO” among the searched devices. ③ Type “9999” at Pass/Pin code when required. ④ The initial pairing will fail. ⑤ Type “9999” at Pass/Pin code when required again. ⑥ You will see the blue LED of the FIPO blinks twice quickly when it is connected and the auto- reconnection function is disabled. [Play music] The FIPO receives the streaming music from Bluetooth music devices such as Bluetooth mobile phones or Bluetooth enabled iPod and plays the music on iPod accessory speaker. You can control music with Play/Pause/Stop/FF/RWD buttons on Bluetooth devices or the iPod accessory devices or remote controller of iPod accessory devices. In this case, the button functions as follows. ① Press “Play/Pause” button shortly: play/pause the music. ② Press “Play/Pause” button for a couple of seconds: stop the music. ③ Press “FF/RWD” button shortly: fast forward/rewind the music. ④ Press “FF/RWD” for a couple of seconds: search next song/ previous song. Controls may function differently depends on iPod accessory devices. Several iPod speaker accessories with a display device will indicate the “FIPO” as a music title, “Anycom” as an author and “Bluetooth” as a genre on the LCD. In case of the MOTOKRZR, auto connection by FIPO could cause a malfunction depends on the software version. FIPO User Manual [Check the status from the LED] You can check the FIPO status from the LED. FIPO status Not connected to Bluetooth devices (Pairing mode). LED status Blue LED is on. At the time FIPO is connected Blue LED goes on and off or disconnected to Bluetooth twice quickly. devices. Connected to Bluetooth devices. Blue LED goes off every 6 seconds. [Troubleshooting] Symptom Check list The FIPO does not turn on (LED is off) after connecting with iPod accessory devices. Check if the iPod accessory device supplies power to the FIPO correctly, Battery powered devices. Unable to connect to a Bluetooth device. Check if Bluetooth devices support the A2DP, AVRCP profile. Do not drop the unit from high place. 2. Do not modify, repair, or take apart. 3. Do not expose directly to water, alcohol, benzene, etc. for cleaning. 4. Do not expose directly to flammables. 5. Do not place or keep the unit near flammables. 6. Keep unit away from humidity & dust. 7. Do not place the heavy object on the units. 8. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
