SENTRV-Hw TRANSCEIVER OPERATOR GUIDE 1 INTRDDUCTIDN OVERVIEW OF THIS GUIDE Overview of this guide This guide provides instructions on how to connect up your Sentry-II transceiver, and how to perform basic setup and operating tasks. It assumes that you have limited knowledge ofIIF communication and of using an [IF transceiver. Extensive reference material is provided on the CD at the back of this guide NOTE: A range of options and accessories is available for the Sentry-ll transceivers For more information contact your Codan representative or refer to the product catalogue that is applicable to your transceiver. The user interface provides 1m icon-based menu sxructurc for easy semp and operation of the Transceiver. The keypad enables you to control and configure the transceiver system via the user interface. The handset connects to the RFU via an integrated interface cable. NOTE: The 2320 Ilaudset is used to adjust the volume and the mute state ofthe 11-250 accessory (handset or speaker) if available. The 2320 Handset is shipped from the factory with standard functious pre-programmed to specific keys. The standard function is written on the key in GREEN text. New user-defined functions may be assigned to most of the keys. If your transceiver has been profiled using the TPS System Programmer, the wizard may not be available. To use the wizard: J Press PTT, then press .0 (Menu) to return to the top level ofthe menu structure. Ifthe icon is not visible, then the wizard is not available as the transceiver has been programmed already with a non-basic profile. Press ‘— [Yes) to confimi that you want to start the wizard. If you want to bypass the wizard, press _, (No). Selecting a language NOTE: This step in the wizard is shown ifyou have multiple languages available. To select a language: :1 Press A or v to scroll to the language that you want to use on the control point, then press OK. NOTE: The label above the \— key appears in the selected language. Press \— (Save) to save the information Setting the time and date To set the time and date: :1 Press 1 or > to select the time zone that you want to use. Press v to move to the Daylight Saving entry. Press 1 or > to select the time that you want to use. Press v to move to the Local Time entry. Press ) to enter edit mode for the local time.
