FEATURES AT A GLANCE

The 3040 Automatic Whip Antenna is a low profile, high
performance alternative to the highly successful 9350,
providing a mobile antenna solution for all families of
Codan high frequency radios.
The combination of lightning fast tuning, compact form
factor, and rugged construction all contribute to provide
a state of the art mobile antenna tuner product.

HIGH PERFORMANCE
With a 125 W RF power handling capability, the 3040 can be used for
voice and data operation over the full 2 to 30 MHz frequency band.
The tuner has tune from memory time of less than 200 mS with
unlimited memory capacity, and new frequencies are typically tuned
in less than one second.

 2 to 30 MHz

The extremely fast tuning capability and optimised antenna
efficiency ensures maximum system readiness is always available
to the operator.

 125 W PEP
 Fast tuning 1 sec average
 Memory tune <150 ms
 Supports ALE and Frequency
Hopping modes
 Integral Active Wideband
Receiver Amplifier for scanning
 MIL-STD-810F (Temperature,
Immersion, Vibration, Dust)
 Designed to MIL-STD-461

RUGGED DESIGN

TRANSCEIVER INTEGRATION

The 3040 is built to withstand the severe conditions that
are often experienced in mobile high frequency radio
deployments. The internal electronics are protected by
a lightweight composite shroud and vibration absorbing
mount to provide a product that is fully waterproof and
compliant to MIL-STD-810F for temperature, immersion,
vibration and dust ingress.

The control interface of the 3040 is fully integrated with
CODAN™ HF transceivers so that tuning is transparent to
the operator. The 3040 is designed for full compatibility with
all modes of operation, including receiver scanning, and ALE
(Automatic Link Establishment) and data.
