FEATURES
For use with any Security+ garage door openers having an
orange "learn" button.
Personalized Password: Up to 10,000 possible
combinations. Password can be easily changed if desired.
Temporary password: Can be added for visitors or service
persons. This temporary password can be limited to a
programmable number of hours or a programmable number
of entries.
Rolling Code: While your password remains constant until
you change it, the code between the Keyless Entry and the
receiver changes with each use, randomly accessing over
100 billion new codes.
Operation: Opener activates when 4-digit password and
Enter button is pressed.
If wrong numbers are accidentally pressed, correction can be
made immediately. The Enter button will transmit only the
last four digits.
The Keypad will blink for 15 seconds after the password is
transmitted. During that time the Enter button can be used to
stop or reverse the door travel.
The Lock feature on openers with premium door controls is
designed to prevent operation of the door from portable
transmitters. However, the door will open and close from the
door control push button and the Keyless Entry.

SETTING THE PERSONAL ENTRY PASSWORD
We recommend that you program your password now, before you install the Keyless Entry. Then you can test the reception
at the mounting location before you proceed further.
USING THE PREMIUM CONTROL CONSOLE USING THE "LEARN" BUTTON
1. Enter a four digit personal identification
number (PIN) of your choice on the keypad.
Then press and hold ENTER.
2. While holding the ENTER button, press and
hold the LIGHT button on the Premium
Control Console.
3. Continue holding the ENTER and LIGHT
buttons while you press the push bar on the
Premium Control Console (all three buttons
are held).
4. Release buttons when the motor unit lights
blink. It has learned the code. If light bulbs
are not installed, two clicks will be heard.

1. Press and release the "learn" button on motor _l ][_,
unit. The learn indicator light will glow
steadily for 30 seconds.
2. Within 30 seconds, enter a four digit personal
identification number (PIN) of your choice on
the keypad. Then press and hold the ENTER
button.
3. Release the button when the motor unit lights
blink. It has learned the code. If light bulbs are ("(_ /
not installed, two clicks will be heard. _ /_ \/
Side two contains instructions for installing the Keyless
Entry, changing the personal entry password and setting a
temporary password.

WITHIN SIGHT OF THE DOOR
Test the reception of the Keyless Entry by operating your
opener from the selected location. Change the location if
necessary.
Remove the battery cover to access the bottom mounting hole:
• Insert a small phillips screw driver
into the small hole at the bottom of
the cover and gently pull outward to
loosen.
• Slide the cover down to remove.
Center the keypad at eye level against Bottom
mouetinc
the selected location. Mark 4-1/4"
(10.8 cm) up the centerline from the
bottom and drill a 1/8" pilot hole.
Install top mounting screw, allowing
1/8" (3 mm) to protrude above Battery
surface. Position keypad on screw Cover
head and adjust for snug fit.
With cover open so bottom mounting hole is visible, use a
punch to mark hole. Remove keypad and drill 1/8" pilot hole.
Replace keypad and complete installation with bottom screw,
using care to avoid cracking plastic housing. Do not overtighten.
To replace the battery cover, insert the lip at the top and snap
in place.
THE KEYLESS ENTRY BATTERY
To prevent possible SERIOUSINJURYor DEATH:
• NEVERallow small children near batteries.
• If battery is swallowed, immediately notify doctor.
The 9 volt battery should produce
power for at least one year. Replace
when the keypad illumination becomes
dim.
Dispose of old batteries properly.
TO CHANGE AN EXISTING, KNOWN PIN
If the existing PIN is known, it may be changed by one person
without using a ladder.
1. Press the four buttons for the present PIN, then press and
hold the # button.
The opener light will blink twice. Release the # button.
2. Press the new 4-digit PIN you have chosen, then
press Enter.
The motor unit lights will blink once when the PIN has been
learned.
Test by pressing the new PIN, then press Enter. The door
should move.
TO SET A TEMPORARY PIN
You may authorize access by visitors or service people with a
temporary 4-digit PIN. After a programmed number of hours or
number of accesses, this temporary PIN expires and will no
longer open the door. It can be used to close the door even
after it has expired. To set a temporary PIN:
1. Press the four buttons for your personal entry PIN (not the
last temporary PIN), then press and hold the _ button.
The opener light will blink three times. Release the button.
2. Press the temporary 4-digit PIN you have chosen, then press
Enter.
The opener light will blink four times.
3. To set the number of hours this temporary PIN will work,
press the number of hours (up to 255), then press _.
OR
3. To set the number of times this temporary PIN will work,
press the number of times (up to 255), then press #.
The opener light will blink once when the temporary PIN has
been learned.
Test by pressing the four buttons for the temporary PIN, then
press Enter. The door should move. If the temporary PIN was
set to a certain number of openings, remember that the test
has used up one opening. To clear the temporary password,
repeat steps 1-3, setting the number of hours or times to 0 in
step 3.
SPECIAL NOTE: The temporary password can ONLY be
programmed to keypads working on a Craftsman ®Garage Door
Opener. It WILL NOT work on keypads programmed to an
external receiver.
The temporary password will continue to CLOSE the door even
after the time has expired. To eliminate this, program a new
temporary password into the keypad.

INSTRUCCIONES DEL USUARIO
CARACTERiSTICAS
Para usarase con abridor de puertas de oochera Security+ que
tengan un botOn "Aprender" (Learn) naranja.
Contraseha personalizada: Hasta 10,000 combinaciones posibtes.
La contrase_a puede cambiarse facilmente si asi se desea.
Contraseha provisoria: Puede agregarse para visitantes o
personas de servicio. Esta contrasefia provisoria puede limitarse a
un nOmero programable de horas o un nQmero programable de
entradas.
C6digo cambiante: Mientras que la contrase_a se mantiene
constante hasta que la cambie el usuario, el c6digo entre el sistema
de entrada sin Ilave y el receptor cambia con cada uso, accesando
en forma aleatoria mas de 100,000 miliones de nuevos c6digos.
Operaci6n: El abridor se activa cuando se usa ia contrasefia de 4
digitos y se oprime el bot6n Enter.
Si se presionan accidentalmente nQmeros equivocados, la
correcciOn puede hacerse inmediatamente. El botOn Enter
transmitira s61o los cuatro QItimos digitos.
El teclado parpadea durante 15 segundos despu6s de que se
transmita ia contrase_a. Durante ese tiempo el bot6n Enter puede
usarse para detener o retroceder el recorrido de la puerta.
La caracteristica de btoqueo de los abridores con controies de
puerta premium esta dise_ada para impedir el accionamiento de la
puerta desde un transmisor port_til. No obstante, la puerta se puede
abrir y cerrar mediante et bot6n del control de la puerta y el sistema
de entrada sin Ilave.
Para evitar la posibilidad de una LESIONGRAVEo INCLUSO LA MUERTEde
una puerta cuando est_ en moviemento:
• SIEMPREconserve los controles remotos lejos del alcancede los nifios.
NUNCA permita que los nifios operen o jueguen con los botones del
control de la puerta de la cochera ni con los controles remotos.
• SOLOactive la puerta de la cochera siempre y cuando la puedan ver con
claridad, este debidamente ajustaday no haya ninguna obstrucci6n en el
recorrido de la puerta al cerrarse
• SIEMPREtenga la puerta de la cochera a la vista hasta que est6
completamente cerrada. Si el nudo de la cuerda se suelta, usted podria
caerse. NUNCA perrnita ninguna persona atravesar el recorrido de una
puerta cuando est_ en rnoviernento.

COMO ESTABLECER LA CONTRASEtgA PERSONAL DE ENTRADA
Recomendamos programar la contrasefia ahora, antes de instalar el sistema de entrada sin Ilave. Entonces se podra probar la recepcion en
el lugar de montaje antes de proceder.
COMO USAR LA CONSOLA DE CONTROL PREMIUM COMO USAR EL BOTON "APRENDER" (LEARN)
1. ingrese un nOmero de identificaci6n personal (PIN) f_/J_ _ 1.
que haya elegido, usando el teciado. Luego oprima / _ /
y mantenga oprimido el bot6n ENTER. _ _J_/
2. Mientras mantiene oprimido el botOn ENTER, _ 2.
oprima y mantenga oprimido el botOn de Ia luz
(LIGHT) de ia Consola de Control Premium.
3. ContinQe oprimiendo los dos botones, ENTER y
LIGHT, mientras oprime tambien la barra de la
Consola de Control Premium (con los tres botones
oprimidos).
4. Suelte los botches cuando las luces de la unidad
del motor empiecen a parpadear. Ya aprendi6 el
c6digo. Si no se han puesto bombilios, se
escucharan dos chasquidos.
)
Oprima y suelte el bot6n "Aprender" de la unidad
del motor. La luz indicadora de este bot6n estara
encendida por 30 segundos.
En los 30 segundos, ingrese un nQmero de
identificaciOn personal (PIN) que haya elegido,
usando el teclado. Luego oprima y mantenga
oprimido el bot6n ENTER.
Suelte el botOn cuando las luces de la unidad det
motor empiecen a parpadear. Ya aprendi6 el
cOdigo. Si no se han puesto bombiilos, se
escucharan dos chasquidos.
El lade dos contiene las instrucciones para instalacion de su
Entrada sin Ilave, cambiar la contrasefia de entrada personalizada
y para programar una contrasefia provisoria.

necesario.
Quite la tapa de las baterias para tener acceso al orificio para el
montaje que se encuentra en Ia parte
inferior:
• Inserte un destorniIlador de cruz
(Phillips) en el orificio pequeho de la
parte inferior de la tapa y jale
suavemente hacia afuera para aflojar.
• Deslice la tapa hacia abajo para sacarIa. Orificiode montaje
Coloque el teclado al centro de la delfondo
ubicaci6n eIegida, al nivel de los ojos. A
partir de la parte inferior y el centro del
teclado, marque 10.8 cm (4-!/4 pulg.) hacia Bateda
arriba y taladre un orificio piloto de 1/8 Tapade
pulg. Instale el tornillo de montaje de la labateria
parte superior, dejando que sobresalga
3 mm (1/8 puIg.) de la superficie. Acomode
el teclado en la cabeza del tornillo y ajuste bien.
Deje abierta la tapa para que el orificio de montaje de Ia parte inferior
este visible y marque donde debe taladrar. Quite el teclado y taIadre un
orificio piloto de 1/8 pulg. VueIva a colocar el teclado y termine la
instalacidn ajustando el tornillo de Ia parte inferior. Tenga cuidado para
evitar que la caja de plastico se agriete. No apriete en exceso.
Para volver a cotocar la tapa del compartimento de las baterias, inserte
Ia pestaha de la parte superior; escuchara un chasquido cuando quede
en su Iugar.
LA BATERiA DEL ENTRADA SIN LLAVE
Paraevitar la posibilidad de LESIONESGRAVESo INCLUSO
LA MUERTE:
• NUNCA permita que los nifios pequefios esten cerca de las baterias.
• Si alguien se traga una bateria, Ilarne al medico de inmediato.
La bateria de 9 voltios debe producir energia
suficiente para un a_o por Io menos. Cambie
Ia bateria cuando baje la intensidad Ia
iIuminacidn deI tecIado.
Deseche Ias baterias viejas de la manera
adecuada.
PARA CAMBIAR UN PIN EXISTENTE
Si el PIN existente ya es conocido, una persona Io puede cambiar sin
usar una escalera.
1. Oprima los cuatro botones que correspondan al PIN actual, luego
oprima y mantenga oprimido el bot6n #.
La luz del abridor parpadeara dos veces. Suelte el bot6n #.
2. Optima el nuevo PIN de cuatro digitos y luego oprima Enter.
Las luces de la unidad del motor parpadearan una vez cuando el PIN
se haya aprendido.
Pruebe oprimiendo el nuevo PIN, Iuego oprima Enter. La puerta debe
moverse.
PARA PONER UN PIN TEMPORAL
Usted puede autorizar el acceso a sus visitas o a personal de servicio
con un PIN temporal de cuatro digitos. Despues de un determinado
nQmero de horas programadas, o nQmero de accesos, este PIN
temporal expira y no vuelve a abrir la puerta. Se puede usar para
cerrar la puerta aQn despues de que haya expirado. Haga Io siguiente
para poner un PIN temporal:
1. Oprima los cuatro botones correspondientes a su PIN de entrada
personal (no el QItimo PIN temporal); luego oprima y mantenga
oprimido el botOn -'_.
La luz deI abridor va a parpadear tres veces. Suelte el boten.
2. Oprima los cuatro digitos deI PIN temporal que haya eIegido, luego
oprima Enter.
La Iuz del abridor va a parpadear_ cuatro veces.
3. Para fijar el nOmero de horas que el PiN temporal debe funcionar,
oprima el nQmero de horas (hasta 255), luego oprima -'k
O
3. Para fijar el nOmero de veces que el PIN temporal debe funcionar,
oprima el nQmero de veces (hasta 255), Iuego oprima #.
La luz del abridor parpadeara una vez cuando et PIN temporal haya
sido aprendido.
Pruebe oprimiendo los cuatro botones correspondientes aI PIN
temporal, luego optima Enter. La puerta debe moverse. Si el PIN
temporal se ha fijado para abrir Ia puerta un determinado nQmero de
veces, recuerde que Ia prueba constituye una vez. Para borrar la
contrasefia temporal, repita los pasos ! al 3; fijando el nQmero de
horas o de veces en 0, en el paso 3.
NOTA ESPECIAL: La contraseha provisoria se puede programar
SOLO en los teclados que controlan un abridor de puerta de cochera
Craftsman ®.NO FUNCIONA en los teclados programados para un
receptor extemo.
La contrasefia provisoria seguir_ CERRANDO la puerta incluso
despues de haberse vencido el plazo. Para eliminar este problema,
programe otra contrasefia provisoria en el teclado.
