SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS i Knowyour power tool, Read the operator's manualfor your Table Saw or Radial Arm Saw carefully.Learn the saw's applicationsand limitationsas well as the specific potential hazards related to this tool. • Never use your sew while it Is suspendedon the swivel caster. Always lower saw ontothe nonskidleveling feet before operating, • When moving,always pushthe leg stand, nat the saw. • Think Safety. Safety is a combin=ion of operator awareness, commonsense and alertness at all times. • Save these instructions.Refer to them frequently and usethem to instructotherswho may use this tool, Ifyou loansomeonethistool, loanthem these instructions also. Safety Instructions For Mobile Base,= • Never installmobile bass with sew mounted to leg stand. • Be careful when moving to avoid any finger pinch poir_s. • Remove the dust bag before moving the tool or whan placingthe leg stand on the mobile base. • Place bass on a level surface and adjust levelingfeet beforeplacing your sew in position.This shouldkeep saw from rocking,while testing it for stability, • Testfor stabilityin both the UP(on the caster) and the down positions. Exercise caution when testingthe stabilityof top heavy machines such as your saw. • Never liftthe saw onto the leg stand without help. • Unplug your sew before moving or rapositioningyour tool. • Always test your setup for stabilityand safety after reposifioningand before pluggingthe saw intoan outlet. • Care shouldbe taken when planningthe orientationof yoursaw ontothe mobile base. Transfer of weight off of the leveling feet to the caster will result in the saw tilting lY2 in.toward the fixed wheels, When repositleningtop heavy tools such as yoursaw, take advantage of the center of gravity,and positionso that it will remain stable while on caster. _, • A • WARNING: Secure leg stand to mobile base before movingthe tool. Failureto secure the leg stand could cause the saw to fall resulting in sedous personal injury. Measure the leg stand from the leveling foot holesat one side to the levelingfoot holeson the otherside. This measurementis needed to determine whichholes in the lower supportbracket and wheel supportbracket are to be used when assemblingthe mobilebase, The holes must align propodyfor the leg stand and mobile base to be secured. WARNING: Do nat engage or disengagethe release lever while the supportbrace is stillattached to the leg stand and never useyour handto operate the release lever. Failure to heed this warning could result in serious pemonal injury. Unpack and identifyall componentsand hardware beforeattemptingto assemble this unit. The items included in this kit are: • Large caster (1) • Center support (2) • Lower support bracket (2) • Wheel support bracket (2) • Caster bracket (1) • Release lever (1_ • Wheel (2) • Hex bolt, 1/4x 1 3/4(2) • Lack nut, 1/4- 20 (2) MOSTTABLE SAWS • Large bolt, 3/8 x 4 1/2 (1) • Washer, 3/8 (1) • Lock nut, 3/8 - 16 (1) • Hex bolt, 1/4x 5/8 (24) • Hex nut, flanged, 1/4 - 20 (24) • Large hex bolt, 5/16 x 3/4 (10) • Large hex nut, 5/16 - 18 (8) • Washer, 5/16 (18) • Leveling feet (2) • Washer, 318 (4) • Nut, 3/8- 16 (4) • Lock nut, 5/15 - 18 (2) CENTER SUPPORT MOSTRADIAL ARMSAWS wHEEL SUPPORTBRACKEt RELEASE LEVER WHEEL _.. SUPPORT BRACKET CENrEF BRACKET //_ LEVELING FEET WHF._ Fig. 1 3 CENTERSUPPORT ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS HEXBOLT To assemble first side (side with two wheels): Remove wheels, hex bolts, and lock nutsfrom the bag. Place whsel in slot of the wheel supportbracket and inserthex bolt through boththe bracket and the wheel. • Secure withthe lock nut andtighten, • Place center support (withoutthe slot) upside down on a flat surface.Align the wheel supportbracketswith the holes previouslydetermined to fit the saw, Using the small hex bolts and hex nuts from the hardware bag, place hex boltsthrough the holes of boththe wheel supportbracket and the center support. • Tighten usingflex nuts. Note: Repeat above steps for other side. To assemble remainingside (side with two levelingfeet and caster): • Mount castarts the cestar bracket using large hex bolts. Secure using lock nuts. • Attach levelingfeet to lower supportbracket using hex nuts and washers as shown in figure 3. Levelingfeet musttouchthe floor when the caster is in the raised position. • Secure bracket to undersideof center supportusing the remaining large hex bolts and hex nuts. • Place center support(with slot and attached caster) upside down on a flat surface.Align the lower support brackets with the holes previouslydeterminedto fit the saw. Using the small hex bolts and hex nutsfrom the hardware bag, place hex bolts throughthe holesof boththe lowersupport bracket and the center support. • Tightenusing hex nuts. • Turn assembly uprightonto levelingfeet. • Insertrelease lever into slot. Using the large bolt, washer, and lock nut, secure release lever. "13ghten. • If saw is mounted to a leg stand, remove the saw from the leg stand before installingthe mobilebase. • Remove levelingfeet from leg stand. Secure the mobile base to the leg stand usingthe large hex boltand large hex nut. • Mount the saw and remove supportbrace from the leg stand (the supportabove the release lever). Do not discardthe supportbrace and hardware. In the event the sew is ever removedfrom the mobile base the supportbrace must be installed. Once the saw is mounted, remove the supportbrace from the leg stand (the supportabove the release lever). Failure to remove the supportbrace, could result in injury. TO TO RAISE WHEEL: Step down firmly on release lever. TO LOWER WHEEL: Place foot under the release lever and lift up. Note: Never use your hand to raise or lower the wheel. Fig, 4 4
