2 2 1. INTRODUCTION The audio system in your car is designed to match the characteristics of the passenger cabin, and in particular the appearance of the front panel. The instructions for use are given below; we recommend you read them carefully and always keep them on hand (for example, in the glove compartment). The Information and Entertainment System is installed to give the driver and passenger easy access. The controls can be quickly located from the graphical display on the front, making the device easy to use. To increase protection against theft, the system has a protection system, which only allows it to be used on its originally fitted vehicle.
33 3TIPS AND GENERAL INFORMATION ROAD SAFETY It is recommended that you learn how to use the system functions before starting to use the tool. Please read this manual carefully. RECEPTION OF RADIO BROADCASTINGS Reception conditions change constantly while driving. Reception may be interfered by the presence of mountains, buildings or bridges, especially when you are far away from the broadcaster. ATTENTION Traffic announcements are given at a higher volume than normal. PROTECTION AND MAINTENANCE In order for the system to work properly, please follow the instructions below: The screen is susceptible to scratches, cigarettes and detergents. The screen should never come into contact with sharp objects or hard objects; otherwise the surface may be damaged. Do not press the screen while cleaning. Never use alcohol, benzine or its derivatives to clean the screen. Prevent liquid from penetrating into the system: Damage that may not be repaired may occur. IMPORTANT In case of a malfunction, the system should only be checked and repaired by an authorized Lancia Service. If the temperature is too low, it can take time for the screen to reach optimum brightness. If the vehicle has been stopped for a period of time and the outdoor temperature is too high, the system may enter “thermal protection” mode to pause the operation until the radio temperature reaches acceptable levels

13 PHONE PHONE-SELECT screen is selecting already paired (before paired) phone to start Bluetooth connection. PHONE-DELETE screen is deleting an already paired (before paired) phone from radio paired list. Thus, radio will not try to connect to deleted phone. If there is a connected device to the radio. PHONE BROWSE screen will be shown with additional 3 items;  Recents  Contacts  Connected Devices For the first-time pairing, sharing approval of contacts of mobile phone to the radio will be asked. If user approves the sharing, radio will update the contacts without asking any approval again. The approval (non-approval) is valid for recent calls and phone-book. Recent calls can be seen by selecting “Recents” menu item in the PHONE BROWSE screen.
1 14 PHONE PHONE-CONTACTS can be seen by entering “Contacts” menu item. During new pairing process, or connection in-process (after radio turns on, it takes up to 20 seconds to connect already paired phones), “Loading, Please Wait” warning will be shown, until whole phonebook is downloaded to the radio. By using “ABC Jump” menu item (like in MP3-List menu), first letter of requested phone contacts can be entered for navigating directly to the contacts starting with requested letter. After entering first letter in “ABC Jump” main screen, all contacts starting with requested initial letter will be shown in PHONE-Results main screen. If user presses on one of the contacts in PHONE-CONTACTS or PHONE-RESULTS screen, details of the contact will be shown in terms of mobile, home or work phone numbers as registered in mobile phone.
15 PHONE PHONE-CONNECTED main screen is shown when “Connected Devices” menu item is selected from the PHONE BROWSE screen. There are 2 different modes for connecting Bluetooth devices;  PHONE Mode: For Handsfree talk with BT-enabled mobile phone.  AUDIO Mode: For listening music from BT-enabled devices. Normally radio connects for both modes to the same device if supported. But user can connect different devices by entering Phone Mode and Audio Mode menu items. The list shown after entering one of the modes contains already paired devices which is same with PHONE-SELECT list. This way, each mode of the Bluetooth can be connected different devices (e.g. user mobile phone can be connected as Phone Mode for managing and making phone-calls, while a tablet device can be connected as Audio Mode for listening music from tablet’s music list. Note: Changing device for one of the modes, makes radio disconnect from all connected devices for both modes, and reconnect them as requested. (e.g., if there is an ongoing call during the change of Audio Mode, call will be diverted to mobile phone for a couple of seconds, then be transferred to the radio again.) To download all phone contacts into the radio phonebook, be sure your device has no restriction activated.
