INTRODUCTION The audio system in your car is designed to match the characteristics of the passenger cabin, and in particular the appearance of the front panel. The instructions for use are given below; we recommend you read them carefully and always keep them on hand (for example, in the glove compartment). The Information and Entertainment System is installed to give the driver and passenger easy access. The controls can be quickly located from the graphical display on the front, making the device easy to use. To increase protection against theft, the system has a protection system, which only allows it to be used on its originally fitted vehicle. 2 2 TIPS AND GENERAL INFORMATION ROAD SAFETY It is recommended that you learn how to use the system functions before starting to use the tool. Please read this manual carefully. RECEPTION OF RADIO BROADCASTINGS Reception conditions change constantly while driving. Reception may be interfered by the presence of mountains, buildings or bridges, especially when you are far away from the broadcaster. ATTENTION Traffic announcements are given at a higher volume than normal. PROTECTION AND MAINTENANCE In order for the system to work properly, please follow the instructions below: The screen is susceptible to scratches, cigarettes and detergents. The screen should never come into contact with sharp objects or hard objects; otherwise the surface may be damaged. Do not press the screen while cleaning. Never use alcohol, benzine or its derivatives to clean the screen. Prevent liquid from penetrating into the system: Damage that may not be repaired may occur. IMPORTANT In case of a malfunction, the system should only be checked and repaired by an authorized Lancia Service. If the temperature is too low, it can take time for the screen to reach optimum brightness. If the vehicle has been stopped for a period of time and the outdoor temperature is too high, the system may enter “thermal protection” mode to pause the operation until the radio temperature reaches acceptable levels 33 CONTROLS Button Functions Mode Switching On Brief Button Press Switching Off Long Button Press Volume Adjustment Goes to last active FM/AM Source and cyclesradio sources and preset bands in the order FM1/FM2/FM3/AM1/AM2 Knob Rotation Brief Button Press Goes to Player_Main and cycles Media Source Brief Button Press (USB/iPod/Bluetooth Audio) Volume Activation/Deactivation (Mute/Unmute) Brief Button Press 4 4 Access to the Phone Menu and Pick-Up Incoming Call Brief Button Press Hang-Up Ongoing Call Brief Button Press Return Back to Upper/Previous Menu Brief Button Press CONTROL LS Buttton Functions Mo ode Confirma ation of Optio on Displayed Brie ef Button Pre ess Ma anual Seek for f Radio / Change e the Selectio on Up/Down Kn nob Rotation by Step Change e the Selectio on Up/Down Knob Rotatio on Continuous Play/Pa ause the Pla aying Track Brie ef Button Pre ess Reccall Stored Radio Station / Shuffle Active Playlisst for USB/iP Pod Store e current radio station Recall Stored Radio Station / Previous Track for Me edia Sourcess ef Button Pre ess Brie Lon ng Button Pre ess ef Button Pre ess Brie Store current rad dio station / Fast Re ewind for Med dia Sources Lon ng Button Pre ess Recall Stored Rad dio Station / Next Trrack for Med dia Sources Brie ef Button Pre ess Store current rad dio station / Fast Forrward for Media Sources Lon ng Button Pre ess Recall Stored Radio Statio on / Repeat Activve Track / Repeat All Tra acks ef Button Pre ess Brie Store e current radio station Lon ng Button Pre ess Accesss to the Settiings Menu Brie ef Button Pre ess 55 CONTROLS ON STEERING WHEEL The controls for the main system functions are present on the steering wheel to make control easier.
