This could also cause you to losecontrol of the vehicle. There is a risk of anaccident.Only operate this equipment when the trafficsituation permits. If you cannot be sure of this,stop the vehicle paying attention to road andtraffic conditions and operate the equipmentwith the vehicle stationary.Observe the legal requirements for the countryyou are in.Bear in mind that, at a speed of only 50 km/hyour vehicle is covering a distance of nearly14 m per second.When using the device please follow:Rthe safety notes in these operating instruc-tionsRtraffic laws and regulationsRlaws pertaining to motor vehicles and safetystandardsGWARNINGModifications to electronic components, theirsoftware as well as wiring could affect theirfunction and/or the operation of other net-worked components. TheFleetBoard vehicle computer was constructedand manufactured so that it does not exceed thelimiting values recommended by the Interna-tional Commission on Non-Ionizing RadiationProtection (ICNIRP) for exposure to radio waves.Notes on radio malfunctions and interferen-cesRadio malfunctions can be caused by any devicewhich emits electromagnetic signals. It is fittedin the vehicle and is visible in the cab.The corresponding basic wiring is required tooperate the FleetBoard Truck Data Center 6 (FBcard). A valid framework agreement with arespective service booking is required for use ofthe FleetBoard services. The FleetBoard TruckData Center 6 (FB card) is a prerequisite forusing connectivity services for FleetBoard.FleetBoard servicesWith the FleetBoard Truck Data Center 6 (FBcard), it is possible to transfer all data generatedby vehicles and drivers. A valid frameworkagreement with a respective service booking isrequired for use of the FleetBoard services.Overview of FleetBoard services:ROperational analysis and reports assists inreducing fuel consumption and wear and tear.Values such as speed, braking characteristicsand average total fuel consumption point outpotential improvements for a more economi-cal driving style. Ifthe FleetBoard DriverCard ; is insertedincorrectly, a warning tone sounds.After the end of the journey/trip:XTo remove: remove FleetBoard Driver-Card ; from the card slot.Sending a messageWith the FleetBoard vehicle computer, you cansend three different messages to headquartersthat have been predefined by headquarters.XSwitch the ignition lock to the drive position.iWhen the green LED on the FleetBoard vehi-cle computer lights up permanently, theFleetBoard vehicle computer is operational.XTo send a Home or Event-Call message:press the Ñ or å button on the Fleet-Board vehicle computer.The FleetBoard vehicle computer generatesthe data which is to be sent; this may take afew seconds.XTo send a Service-Call message/to acti-vate roadside assistance: press the Óbutton on the FleetBoard vehicle computerfor approximately 2 seconds.The LED indicator lamp flashes orange. TheFleetBoard vehicle computer generates thedata which is to be sent; this may take sometime. Leave the ignition switched on while thedata is being sent. The green LED indicatorlamp briefly flashes when the message hasbeen successfully sent.
