Remove the exterior and interior packings, wipe
the outside thoroughly with a soft dry cloth and
the Ins/de with awet, lukewarm cloth. Avoid
placing the cabinet in a narrow recess or near
any heat source, direct sunlight, or moletureo
Let air circulate freely around the cabinet. Keep
the rear of the refrigerator 5 inches away from
the walL
Location
1. Select a place with a strong, level floor,
2. Allow 5 Inches of space between the back of
the refrigerator and any adjacent wallo
3. Avoid direct suntight and heal Direct
sunlight may alfect the acryiic coating°
Heat sources nearby wit! cause higher

4, Avoid very moist places. Too much moisture
in the air will cause frost to form very quickly
on the evaporator, and your refrigerator will
have to be defrosled very frequently
To avoid vibration, the cabinet must be set level.
To slarl the refrigerator, turn lhe temperature
control to the position corresponding to (he
desired cooling The refrigerator temperature
witl vary depending on the quantlly of the food
stored and on the frequency with which the door
is opened.
Turn the control to the "OFF" position to
temporarily disconnect: the cobl_ngcycle. Alter
defrosting and if the refrigerator has been left out
of use for some time, set the controlto maximum
for 2to ;3hours before turning to the desired
posit_on When the refrigerator _snot to be used
for a long pedod of time, disconnect the plug and
leave the deer partially open,
Note: Wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting If
operation has been interrupted

Ice cube tray is flexible. Twist tray to remove
f'cecubes, if the Ice cube tray is frozen hard to
the evaporator surface, run aIt|tie water over the
lray_ Never use a knife or other metal instrument
to remove ice cube tray because this may
damage the evaporator. (Fig. C)
Cleaning
To clean the inside, use a soft cloth and a solution
of a tablespoon of baking soda to one quarl of
water, or a mild soap suds solution, or some mild
detergent. Wash ice cube tray, drip tray, and
glide out shelves in amild detergent solution,
then dry and wipe with a soft cloth. Clean the
outside with a soft damp cloth and some mild
detergent or appliance cleaner°
Defrosting
Barren Defrost

This refrigerator is equipped with a "Push Button"
(semi.automatic) defrost thermostat system, To
activate the defrost cycle, simply push (in) the
red defrost button located in the center of the
control knob}diaL ( do not turn the control
knob/dial to zero =off) The del[ost cycle Is
initiated immediately.When defrosting ts complete,
the "Push Button' will release (pop-ou!)
automatically and resume normal operating
conditions at the same temperature setting.
NOTE:If the 'push Button"is aclivated (pushed4n)
acctdenta!ly, it will not be posstble to "manually"
purl-out the push button. (deactivate the defrost
cycle) You must either let the defrost cycle run it's
course Or=
"Apply (hold) adishcloth soaked in hot water
against the thermostat capillary tine and bracket,
located on the underside of the freezer
compartment. The heat transfer lrom the dish cloth
will cause a temperature rise on the thermostat
capillary, (sensing line) causing the internal
contacts to ctose. This wilt resume normal
operating condftlons, tt may take several minutes
andler repeal applications before the push button
will release,
Defrosting of your refrigerator should take place
whenever ice build-up inside the freezer
compartment reaches 1/4" (6mm) thick_ Delrost_ng
may take a low hours, depending on the amouni
of accumulatedice and ambient indoor
temperature. To speed-up the defrosting process,
remove all frozen foods from 1he freezer section.
Leaving the door partially ajar for a "short" period of
ttme will also speed-up the process.
IMPORTANT; You must remember to close the
refrigerator door before the defrost cycle
terminates and normal operating conditions
resume automatically. The drip tray should be In
position directly below the freezer compartment to
catch evaporated water during defrosting.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Never use sharp or pointed
Instruments to de[rostfremove ice from the
evaporator/freezer compartment. The
evaporator/freezer compartment contains
refrigerated gas lines and If acctdentliy
punched!pierced,will render the refrigerator
inoperable and "void" the manufacturers warranty.
DO NO ALLOW THE REFRIGERATOR TO
CONTINUE OPERATION IF THE FREEZER
COMPARTMENT tS PIERCED,
After defrosting Is complete,set the control to
maximum for 2 to 3 hours before turning to the
desired position, When the relrigeralor is not to be
used for along period of time, disconnect the
appliance from the electrical supply and leave the
door partially open This will help to reduce mold
and mildew build-up.
NOTE: Wait 3 to 5 minutes before attempting to
restart the refrigerator if operation has been
Interrupted
Vacation Time
For short vacation periods, leave the control
knobs at their usual settings_ During longer
absences, (a) remove all leeds, (b) disconneci
from electrlca[outtet, (c) clean the relrigerator
thoroughly, including defrost pan, (d) leave door
open to avoid possible formations of condensale,
mold or odors
PowerFailure
Most power failures are corrected wllhfn an hour
or two and will not affect your relrigerator
temperatures. However, you shoutd minimize the
number el door openings while lhe power is off
During power failures of longer duration, take
slops to protect your food by placing dry ice on
top of packages_
If¥ou Move
Remove or securely fasten down all loose items
inside the refrigerator. To avoid damaging the
leveling screws, turn them all the way into the
base

same day of purcheseo Packaged meats such
as ham, bacon, dried beef, or frankfurter, store
best In their original packages°
