Thiswarrantyis availableonlyto the personto whomthe unitwasoriginallysold byDanbyor byan authorizeddistributorof Danby,andisnon-transferable.
TERMSOFWARRANTY
PIasticparts(ie.evaporatordoor,door rails,coversandtraysare warrantedfor thirty(30)daysonlyfrom purchasedate,withno extensionsprovided.
FirstYear Duringthefirstyear(1), anyelectricalpartsof thisproductfoundto bedefective,includinganysealedsystemunits,willbe repairedor
replaced,at warrantor'soption,at no chargetothe ORIGINALpurchaser.Consumableparts(ie. lightbulbs)are notwarrantedor
guaranteedfor anylengthof time.
SecondThrough Duringthe nextfouryears(4)anypartofthe sealedsystemfoundtobe defective(consistingof compressor,condenser,evaporator,
FifthYear dryerand all relatedtubing)willbe replacedwithoutcharge. The purchasershallpay foraIIlaborandreturnfreightduringthis four year
(4)periodfor repairor replacementof anysealedsystemcomponents.Any unitbeingdiagnosedas non-functionaldue to sealed
systemfailureandwarrantingan exchangeduringtheexistingfour (4) yearswillbe subjectto an appropriatedepreciationoruserfee,

Thisrefrigeratoris inclusiveof a cycledefrostsystem.
Therefrigeratorhasa cold platelocatedinbehindthe back
wallof therefrigeratorcabinet. Icebuild-uponthe backwall
duringcompressoroperationisnormal. Whenthecompressor
hascycledoff, accumulatedice willdefrostautomatically.
Defrostwaterwill collectinsidethe draintroughpassthrough
the drainoutletlocatedat the bottomof thecabinetandflJnnel
intoa drainpansituatedabovethe compressor.Thewaterwill
thenevaporatefromthis trayfrom the heatofthe compressor.
REMINDER: Keepthedrainoutletopeningclearof anyfood
particlesor otherimpediments. Thiswillensurethe watercan
funnelto the drainpanwithoutobstruction. Failureto keep
thisoutletcleanmayresultinwateroverflowingthetrough,
causingwaterto accumulateat the bottomof the refrigerator,
eventuallyleakingontoyourfloor. Pleasewipethistroughand

placingthecabinetina narrowrecessor nearanyheatsource,direct

the rearofthe refrigerator5 inchesawayfromthe wall.

3. Avoid direct sunlightand heat. Direct sunlightmay affectthe

4. Avoidverymoistplaces. Too muchmoisturein the airwill cause
frostto formvery quicklyon the evaporator,andyour refrigerator
will haveto bedefrostedmorefrequently.
To avoidvibration,the cabinet mustbe set level. This is accomplishedby
adjustingthe (2)frontlevelinglegs locatedunderthe refrigeratorcabinet. To
startthe refrigerator,turnthe temperaturecontrol(OFF-MAX)to the position
correspondingto the desiredcooling.

Therefrigeratortemperaturewillvarydependingonthequantityofthe
foodstoredandonthefrequencywithwhichthedoorisopened.

Cleaning
Tocleanthe inside,usea softclothanda mixtureof one
tablespoonof bakingsodato onequartof water. Othercleaning
solutionsoptionsarea mildsoapsudssolution,or milddetergent.
Washglassshelvesin a milddetergentsolution,then dryand
wipewitha soft cloth. Cleanthe outsidewitha softdampcloth
andsomemilddetergentor appliancecleaner.
Vacation Time
Forshortvacationperiods,leavethe controlknobat itsnormal
setting. Duringlongerabsences;
(a) removeallfoods,
(b) disconnectpowercordfromelectricaloutlet
(c) cleanthe refrigeratorthoroughly,includingdefrostpan,
locatedabovecompressorat backof unit.
