We are submitting the Following document as the user's guidc for thc DRIOOOO. Note
that the document actually describes a product called the SNAI’2410r This is our (Digital
Wireless‘s) name for thc DRlOOOO. We are in the proccs ol‘re-writing the document to
reflect the name change to DRIOOOO. Houcven as nfwr ng ofthis letter. that task was
still incomplete. We therefore request acceptance of this document in lieu ofthe actual
guide.

Dear Tim,
Vitalcom’s DR-IOOOO access point product very closely mirrors our SNAP 2414 product, In fact, the only
difference between the two products is the operating frequency band of the intentional radiators (IRS) inside
the device. In the DR-IOOOO, the IRS operate over the 608-614 MHZ Medical Telemetry band, In the
SNAP2414, the IRs operate over the 2.4 GHz ISM band under 15.247, In all other respects, the DR-IOOOO
is identical to the SNAP2414. For this reason we feel justified in providing the users manual for the
SNAP24I4 in lieu of a new document written specifically for the DR-IOOOO. In addition, our customer,
Vitalcom, is intimately aware of the differences between the SNAP24I4 and the DR-IOOOO and has not
requested a document be specifically written for them,
In order to comply with MPE waming guidelines, I have sent Vitalcom a bulletin to be inserted in their
system product documentation requiring them to specify a minimum of 20 cm distance between any
personnel and the installed DR—IOOOO antenna.
Regards,
Mark Tucker
