Gently pull crown out to its outermost position B . Before you set up the watch, you must charge the watch fully and then turn it on. 2. Rotate the crown to the correct time. 3. Press the crown to return it to its normal position A . 1. Charge the watch for at least two hours 1 , 2 , 3 . WARNING: Do not attempt to change the battery yourself. Opening the watch case will void your warranty. Using an incorrect battery may cause the watch to overheat or catch fire. NOTE: If you are storing the watch, make sure to pull the crown out to its outermost position B . NOTE: The first time you charge the watch, the display might be blank. After you set up the watch, the charging icon is displayed while the watch charges. 2. To turn on the watch, press and hold the top watch button until the setup screen displays. SETTING UP YOUR PHONE APP AND WATCH FOR THE FIRST TIME 4. The phone app automatically searches for nearby watches. Press the top watch button 1 so that the setup screen is displayed and the app can find your watch. 1. Install the Titan Smartwatch app. On your phone, go to watches.hp.com or search for Titan smartwatch in your app store. NOTE: Your phone must have either iOS 8 or higher or Android 4.4 operating system or higher. 5. In the phone app, select your watch. If prompted, press the top watch button 1 and enter the PIN displayed on your watch. 6. In the phone app, enable notification permissions. You can choose to push any notifications from a third-party app, such as Facebook or Twitter, to the watch. See your phone documentation for instructions for enabling notifications. 2. Make sure that your phone’s Bluetooth ® is turned on. See your phone documentation for instructions. 7. To configure the watch, in the phone app, select Activity Tracker, World Clock, Notifications, or Preferences. Notifications also controls vibration notification settings. See Vibration Notifications on page 12 for more information. 3. Open the Titan Smartwatch app on your phone, and then follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account. NAVIGATING THE WATCH DISPL AYING THE WATCH STAT US T URNING BLUE TOOTH ON OR OFF To display the watch status, press and hold button 2 for three seconds. The status dismisses automatically after five seconds. To turn Bluetooth on or off, press and hold button for three seconds. NAVIG ATING BE T WEEN APPS Bluetooth status icon: Appears when Bluetooth is disconnected. To navigate between apps (such as World Clock and Activity Tracker), press button 1 . To scroll the screen to read a text message or view the next page of an app (such as yesterday’s steps in the Activity Tracker app), press button 2 . DISMISSING NOTIFICATIONS Charging status icon: Appears when the watch is connected to power. To dismiss notifications or to decline a call, press button to dismiss all notifications. Battery status icon: Displays remaining battery charge. . Press and hold button T URNING AIRPL ANE MODE ON OR OFF To turn airplane mode on or off, press both buttons. RESTARTING THE WATCH RESE T TING TO FACTORY SE T TINGS To restart the watch, press and hold both buttons for three seconds. Press button 2 to confirm. To reset to factory settings, press and hold button times. Press button 2 to confirm. while pressing button three WATCH FUNCTIONS INCOMING CALL TE X T MESSAGE When you receive a text message, the sender’s name and message are displayed. Press button 2 to scroll and press button 1 to dismiss the text. WORLD CLOCK The world clock syncs automatically with your phone. In the app, you can select other time zones to be displayed. Press button 2 to scroll through your selected cities. CALENDAR REMINDERS The watch syncs with the calendar on your phone to notify you of upcoming appointments. Press button 2 to scroll for more information, such as meeting time and location. Press button 1 to dismiss the notification. ACTIVIT Y TR ACK ER When you have an incoming call, the caller’s name is displayed. If the caller is not in your contacts, their phone number is displayed instead. Press button 1 to decline the call. The activity tracker keeps track of your daily steps and your progress to your daily goal. You can check today and yesterday’s steps on the watch. A notification is displayed when you reach your daily goal. Use the app to check your progress over the week or the month. 10 BAT TERY STAT US When the watch battery has less than a 20% charge, there is a notification. There is also a notification when the watch battery has less than a 10% charge. 11 VIBRATION NOTIFICATIONS In addition to on-screen messages, your watch vibrates to notify you of events. The following table describes the default vibration patterns for notifications. High-urgency notifications use a stronger vibration than low-urgency notifications. To enable, disable, or change the urgency level of vibration notifications: 1. In the app, select Notifications. 2. Click the slider next to the notification to enable or disable that notification. Click Edit to change the vibration urgency level to high or low. NOTE: You can enable a vibrations notification for any third-party app. All vibration notifications not enabled by default are set automatically to low urgency. = Long pulse 12 13 FR FRENCH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION RECONNECTING THE WATCH WITH YOUR PHONE If the phone and watch are disconnected, the watch displays the Bluetooth icon To reconnect: 1. Make sure that your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on. See your phone documentation for instructions. 2. Press the top watch button until the Setup screen displays. 3. Open the Titan Smartwatch app on your phone, and then follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the watch to your phone.
