The downside, however, is that up to 0.01% of the pixels can remain permanently dark or lit on today’s state-of-the-art panels. (Failure to observe this may result in damage, overheating, explosion, or fire.) When the BHT is stored in a high-temperature, high-humidity environment of 50° to 60°C, leave to sit in a location at room temperature and normal humidity for at least 1 day prior to use. Failure to observe this may cause a reading failure or damage the BHT. z Do not use the BHT in places with extreme temperature variations. (Failure to observe this may lead to BHT malfunction due to condensation.) Leave the BHT for a short while prior to use when moved from a cold to a warm environment. z Do not use the BHT in places where it may be exposed to strong impact or significant static electricity. 妨害光を避ける。 妨害光により、赤外線通信できないことがあります。 赤外線通信をするときは、次のことを守ってください。 ●近くでテレビなどのリモコン操作を行わない。 ●強い照明光（特にインバータ蛍光灯）や、太陽光などの妨害光があたらないところで操作する。 Avoid light interference. IrDA communication may not be possible due to light interference. Wireless communication may not be possible in the following locations and using. •In the vicinity of the following devices operating on a 2.4 GHz waveband (Communication may not be possible due to electromagnetic interference.) • Industrial, scientific, or medical equipment such as microwave ovens • Wireless LAN devices • Logistics systems in places such as plants or warehouses • Wireless devices such as personal or amateur radio stations •In the vicinity of household appliances emitting electromagnetic waves such as computers or televisions (Communication may not be possible due to electromagnetic noise.) •In the vicinity of metallic objects, in places with high levels of metallic dust, or in places surrounded my metal walls (Communication may not be possible due to the presence of metallic objects.) •Putting on any metallic objects around the antenna. Placing your hand over the antenna -3- 安全上のご注意 本機を安全にお使いいただくために、次の事項を必ずお守りください。 表示の意味 警告 人が死亡または重傷を負う可能性が想定される内容を示しています。 注意 人体への傷害や、財産に損害の発生が想定される内容を示しています。 警告 充電池カートリッジの取り扱い 誤った取り扱いをすると、感電、充電池カートリッジの発熱・発煙・破裂・発火の原因となり危険で す。下記の事項をお読みいただき正しくご使用ください。 z 充電池カートリッジを分解したり、改造したりしないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジの（＋）端子と（－）端子を針金等の金属で接続しないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジを金属製のネックレスやヘアピンなどと一緒に持ち運んだり、保管したりしな いでください。 z 充電池カートリッジを火の中に投入したり、加熱したりしないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジを火やストーブのそば、炎天下など高温になる場所（50℃以上）で使用したり、 放置したり、充電したりしないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジを水や海水などで濡らさないでください。 z 火のそばや炎天下などの高温下では充電をしないでください。 充電池カートリッジが高温になると保護装置が働き充電の不完了の原因や、保護装置が壊れ、発熱、 破裂、発火の原因となるおそれがあります。 z 引火性ガスの発生するような場所で充電したり、使用したりしないでください。 z 釘を刺したり、ハンマーで叩いたり、踏みつけたりしないでください。 z 強い衝撃を与えたり、投げつけたりしないでください。 z 外傷、変形の著しい充電池カートリッジは使用しないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジに直接ハンダ付けしないでください。 z 同梱の充電池カートリッジは、BHT 専用です。BHT 以外の用途に使わないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジが漏液して液が目に入ったときは、こすらず、すぐに水道水などのきれいな水 で十分に洗った後、直ちに医師の治療を受けてください。放置すると目に傷害を与える原因となり ます。 z 充電の際に所定の充電時間を超えても充電が完了しない場合には、充電をやめてください。 z 電子レンジや高圧容器に入れたりしないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジの使用、充電、保管時に異臭を発したり、発熱したり、変色、変形その他今ま でと異なることに気がついたときには BHT または充電器より取り出し、使用しないでください。 z 充電池カートリッジの充電には、専用充電器を使用してください。 z 充電が終わった後や使用直後は、充電池カートリッジが温かくなることがあります。 BHT の取り扱い 誤った取り扱いをすると、感電、視力障害、皮膚障害、けが、やけど、BHT の発熱・発煙の原因とな ります。下記の事項をお読みいただき正しくご使用ください。 z 電子レンジや高圧容器に入れたりしないでください。 z 窓を閉め切った自動車の中、直射日光が当たるなど異常に温度が高くなる場所に放置しないでくだ さい。 z 湿気、ほこりの多い場所、急激な温度変化のあるところで使用しないでください。 z 煙がでていたり、変なにおいや音がしたりするなど異常が発生した場合、すぐに電源をオフし、充 電池カートリッジをはずしてください。 z ケースが破損した場合そのまま使用しないでください。 z 指定の充電池カートリッジ以外の電源を使用しないでください。 z 分解したり、改造したりしないでください。 z 内部に異物を入れないでください。 -4- z 水や海水などで濡らさないでください。 z 液晶画面が破損し、液晶が漏れた場合には、液体を口にしたり、吸い込んだり、皮膚につけたりし ないでください。 z コード読み取り口をのぞき込まないでください。視力障害の原因となります。 z コード読み取り口を人の目に向けないでください。 注意 BHT の取り扱い 誤った取り扱いをすると、BHT の発熱・発煙の原因、故障の原因となります。下記の事項をお読みい ただき正しくご使用ください。 z ハンドストラップやネックストラップを使用している時は、他のものに引っ掛けたり回転物に巻き 込まれたりしないようにしてください。故障やけがの原因となります。 z パーソナル無線、アマチュア無線などの無線機の近くでは使わないでください。機器が誤作動する ことがあります。 z キャッシュカード、クレジットカードなどの磁気カードを本製品のブザーに近づけないでください。 磁気データが消失することがあります。 z 音がなっているときは、ブザーに耳を近づけないでください。難聴の原因となることがあります。 z 充電池カートリッジの脱着時、無理な力を加えないでください。機器が故障する原因となります。 z 大きな静電気の発生する環境で BHT を使用しないでください。 機器の誤作動や故障の原因となることがあります。 z 床などに落下させたり、強い衝撃を与えたりしないでください。破損、故障の原因になります。 z 当社指定の充電池カートリッジ以外は使用しないでください。 z 本製品は microSD カード用のコネクタを内蔵しています。これらのカード以外のものは挿入しな いでください。カードの逆挿入及び斜め・こじり挿入はしないようにしてください。カードを無理 に挿入しますとカード及びコネクタ破損の原因となることがあります。 システム設計者へ 医薬品の管理など人命に影響を与える可能性があるシステムでは、データが誤った場合でも人命に影 響を与える可能性がないよう、冗長設計、安全設計に充分ご注意ください。 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Be sure to observe all these safety precautions. Meaning of Symbols Alerts you to those conditions which could cause serious bodily injury or death if the instructions are not followed correctly. Alerts you to those conditions which could cause minor bodily injury or substantial property damage if the instructions are not followed correctly. Handling the battery cartridge Incorrect handling of the battery cartridge could cause the batteries to generate heat or smoke, or to rupture or burn. This is DANGEROUS. Be sure to observe the following. z Never disassemble or modify the battery cartridge. z Never connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery cartridge with a wire or other metallic materials. z Do not carry or store the battery cartridge together with ballpoint pens, necklaces, coins, hairpins, or anything else metallic. z Never burn or heat the battery cartridge. z Do not use or leave the battery cartridge anywhere there is excessively high temperature (50°C or higher), such as near fire or stoves. z Do not put the battery cartridge into water of any kind or moisten it. z Never charge the battery cartridge near a fire or anywhere exposed to direct sunlight. Failure to do so could activate the protector due to high temperature and thus prevent the battery cartridge from being full charged. Or it may break the protector, resulting in the battery cartridge to -5- overhead, blowout, or combustion. z Never charge the rechargeable battery cartridge where any inflammable gases may be emitted. Doing so could cause fire. z Do not stick a needle into the battery cartridge, hammer at it, or tread on it. z Do not let the battery cartridge undergo any shock or impact or throw it at something hard. z Do not use battery cartridges that are deformed, scratched or cracked remarkably. z Solder nothing to the battery cartridge directly. z The battery cartridge is exclusively for the BHT. Do not use the battery cartridge for purposes other than charging the BHT. z If battery fluid leaks from the battery cartridge and it gets into your eyes, rinse them with clean water thoroughly without rubbing and consult a doctor as soon as possible. Otherwise, you may damage your eyes. z If the battery cartridge does not finish recharging within the specified time, stop recharging. z Never place the battery cartridge in a microwave oven or high-pressure container. z If abnormal odor, heat, discoloration, deformation or any other abnormal conditions are noticed when the battery cartridge is in use, being charged, or is in storage, remove it from the BHT or charger and avoid further use. z Only use the dedicated charger for charging the rechargeable battery cartridge. z The battery cartridge may be warm immediately after charging or use. z This product is equipped with the connector for a microSD card. Do not insert anything else besides a microSD card. Do not use excessive strength, tilt or reverse the microSD card when inserting. Failure to follow instruction may damage the microSD card and connector. To System Designers: z When introducing BHTs in those systems that could affect human lives (e.g., medicines management system), develop applications carefully through redundancy and safety design which avoids the feasibility of affecting human lives even if a data error occurs. Handling the BHT z Never put the BHT into a microwave oven or high-pressure container. Doing so could cause the BHT to break, generate heat, rupture or burn. z Never put the BHT in places where there are excessively high temperatures, such as inside closed-up automobiles, or in places exposed to direct sunlight. Doing so could affect the housing or parts, resulting in a fire. z Avoid using the BHT in extremely humid or dusty areas, or where there are drastic temperature changes. Moisture or dust will get into the BHT, resulting in malfunction, fire or electrical shock. z If smoke, abnormal odors or noises come from the BHT, immediately turn off the power, pull out the battery cartridge, and contact your nearest dealer. Failure to do so could cause smoke or fire. z If you drop the BHT so as to damage its housing, immediately turn off the power, pull out the battery cartridge. Failure to do so could cause smoke or fire. z Do not use batteries or power sources other than the specified ones. Doing so could generate heat or cause malfunction. z Never disassemble or modify the BHT; doing so could result in an accident such as break or fire. z Do not insert foreign materials in the BHT. z If foreign material or water gets into the BHT, immediately turn off the power, pull out the battery cartridge, and contact your nearest dealer. Failure to do so could cause smoke or fire. z If the LCD breaks, the liquid may leak from the LCD under some conditions. If so, do not attempt to swallow, inhale or touch it. z Never stare into the reading window. z Never point the reading window at someone’s eye. Handling the BHT z When using the hand strap or neck strap, exercise due care to avoid getting them caught in other objects or entangled in rotating machinery. Failure to do so could result in accident or injury. z Do not use the BHT in the vicinity of wireless devices such as personal radios and ham radios. This could cause malfunction of the BHT. z Do not place magnetic cards or the like near the BHT speaker/beeper. Doing so may result in the loss of magnetic data from cash cards, credit cards, etc. z Do not place your ear near the speaker/beeper when tones are being emitted. Doing so may result in hearing loss. z Do not apply excessive force when inserting or removing the rechargeable battery cartridge. -6- Doing so will result in damage. z In environments where static electricity can build into significant charges (e.g., if you wipe off the plastic plate with a dry cloth), do not operate the BHT. Doing so will result in malfunction or machine failure. z Do not drop the BHT on the floor or apply strong shock to it. Doing so could cause malfunction of the BHT. z The connectors will reliably connect and operate with the correctly inserted microSD cards. Follow the correct insertion / ejection procedure for the specific connector in use. Before using this device, ensure that no static wireless stations or specified low-power wireless stations for mobile identification are being used in the vicinity. 2. In the event of instances of electromagnetic interference from this device to a static wireless station being -14- used for mobile identification, either promptly alter the usage frequency, or halt the electromagnetic discharge 3. If other problems arise due to reasons such as electromagnetic interference from this device to a specified low-power wireless station being used for mobile identification, please contact DENSO WAVE through QBdirect. • Requests to system designers 1. Communication may not be possible depending on the environment in which the device is being used. Ensure that problem-free communication is possible prior to use. 2. Use a program capable of retransmitting data if communication fails. 3. If the BHT is introduced into an environment in which a device using 2.4 GHz waveband electromagnetic waves is operating, or if another device using 2.4 GHz waveband electromagnetic waves is introduced following introduction of the system, run all devices and ensure that communication with the BHT is possible prior to use. 4. Step3 電源をオンする Turning ON the Power 準備完了です。 Preparation is now complete. ¦ Step1 充電する Charging the Battery Cartridge お買い上げ時、電池及び電池蓋は付属しておりません。また電池は充電されていませんので、充電し てからご使用ください。電池の取り付け方は『充電池カートリッジの交換』をご参照ください。 BHT 本体を使用しての充電はコミュニケーションユニット（CU-1301, CU-1311, CU-1321）を ご使用ください。 充電時間は約 3 時間です。 CU-1321 で USB 接続先から電源が供給されているときは、約 7 時間です。 • BHT 本体の USB 接続先から電源が供給されているときは、約 7 時間です。 • 放電量の少ない電池では、この時間よりはやく満充電となります。 The BHT’s battery and lid are options. The BHT’s battery cartridge is not charged when purchased and must therefore be charged prior to use. Please refer ”How to Replace the Battery Cartridge” The following chargers can be used with the BHT. Long-term storage under these conditions may deteriorate the performance and life of the battery cartridge. You are recommended to ensure that the battery cartridge is at least at the charge level ) required for long-term storage In addition, even you don’t use the battery cartridge for a long term, keep this power level by recharging once a year in order to maintain the battery performance. • The battery cartridge may swell over the years. This is a natural characteristic of a lithium-ion battery and is not safety hazard. Otherwise, a message requesting you to contact the administrator may appear when the power is turned ON next time. 以下のメッセージが表示された後、 電源がオフします。 The BHT is powered down after the message appears as below. Shutdown in progress. Do not remove the battery. ② データをバックアップしてから電源オフ 電源キーを 3 秒以上押します。バックアップが終了す ると、自動的に電源オフします。 Hold down the Power key for at least 3 seconds. The message shown on the right appears and data backup is commenced. Point バックアップ時間は、データ量によっては数十秒かか ることがあります。 Never remove the battery cartridge while the message on the right is appeared. The back-up process may take several tens of seconds depending on the amount of data. ③ オートパワーオフ 下記の画面が表示され、データのバ ックアップが開始されます。 The power is turned OFF automatically when the backup is complete. デ ータ 保存 中 バッテリをはずさ な いで くだ さい Now saving data. The intensity of the laser light is too low to inflict bodily injury. However, do not stare into beam. You must observe the following precautions when handling the BHT equipped with laser light. 1) Never stare into the reading window. 2) Never point the reading window at someone’s eye. The 2D Code Handy Terminal complies with IEC 60825-1 Ed.2:2007. When the light is focused on the printed surface of the code from directly above, the BHT may not read the code due to specular reflection. 読み取り光の表示範囲内にコードがあっても、コ ードからの距離が近すぎたり、離れすぎたりする と、コードが読めないことがあります。 The code may not be read if it is too close to or too far from the BHT reading window, even when the code is within the read area. コードをゆっくり近づけたり、離したり して操作してみてください。 Move the BHT slowly toward or away from the code and try again. コード面が湾曲していると、うまく読み取れない ことがあります。 コード読み取り口の中央でコードを読 んでください。 The code may not be read if its surface is extremely curved. Read the code at the center of the code reading window. コード面が汚れている場合、コードが読めないこ とがあります。 汚れを取り除いてから、再度操作してく ださい。 The code may not be read if its surface is dirty. Adjust the brightness of the surrounding light when reading indoors. 電池残量の目安 Battery Power Level Indicator 充電池カートリッジの残量は、液晶画面の左下に表示される電池アイコン で確認することがで きます。電池残量は 4 段階で表示されます。 電池残量表示は目安ですので、早目に充電するようにしてください。 The battery power level can be confirmed at the battery icon displayed in the bottom left of the LCD screen. The battery power is indicated in four levels. The battery power level indicator tells you when to charge the battery cartridge. : 十分残っています。 : Sufficient battery power remains. : 電池残量が少なくなっています。 : The battery power is partially depleted. : 電池残量が残りわずかです。充電するか、新しい電池に交換してください : The battery power is almost depleted. Charge the batteries or insert new ones. : 電池切れです。すぐに充電するか、新しい電池と交換してください。 : The battery power is totally depleted. Charge immediately or replace new ones. 充電池カートリッジの寿命 Battery Cartridge Service Life 充電池カートリッジは消耗品です。約 300 回の充電が交換の目安です。 充電池カートリッジのリチウムイオン電池は、普通に使用していても充放電を繰り返すと次第に能力 が低下します。所定時間充電しても消耗が早くなった場合は、新品に交換してください。 The battery cartridge is a consumable part and should be replaced after being charged approximately three hundred times. The performance of the battery cartridge’s lithium-ion battery will deteriorate gradually with repeated charging and discharging, even during normal use. When the battery operation time becomes shorter even after charging for the specified length of time, replace the battery with a new one. 充電池カートリッジの交換 How to Replace the Battery Cartridge BHT の電源を切ります。 Turn OFF the BHT. 下記の画面が表示されます。 The screen appears as below. Do not remove the battery. ② ①電池カバーロックを矢印方向にスライドして、 ②電池カバーをはずし、③充電池カートリッジを 取り出します。 Slide the battery cover lock in the direction indicated by the arrow (1), remove the battery cover (2), and then remove the battery cartridge (3). -22- ③ ① 3 新しい充電池カートリッジの電極を確認し、 矢印方向に取り付けます。 Insert a new battery cartridge in the direction indicated by the arrow. Make sure that the battery cartridge is in the right orientation. If this error message displays on the screen, you need to set the current date and time. 「 管 理 者 に 連 絡 し て く だ さ い 。 このメッセージが表示された場合は、再度電源をオンしてく ださい。このエラーが繰り返し発生する場合は、表示をメモ （XXXX） 」と表示される。 してシステム管理者に連絡してください。 “Contact your administrator (XXXX)”. If this message displays on the screen, reboot the BHT. If this error persists, take a note on the error message and then contact the system administrator. 「現在の時刻を設定してください」と 表示される。 “Set the current date and time”. 長期間使用しないとき Using the BHT after Long Non-Use 長期間使用しなかったときは、BHT 内のデータが消失したり、カレンダ時計が停止したりしている 場合があります。 ・大切なデータは必ず控えを取っておいてください。 ・カレンダ時計が停止している場合は、再度設定ください。 ・メモリバックアップ用電源の充電のため、充電池カートリッジは、10 分以上つけたままにしてください。 その他の対処方法は、取扱説明書を参照ください。 Data stored in the BHT may be lost or damaged and the calendar clock may stop if the BHT is left unused for a long period of time. ・Keep a backup copy of important or critical information. ・Reset the calendar clock if it is stopped. -23- ・The battery cartridge is also used as a memory back-up power source. You should not remove the cartridge from the BHT for at least 10 minutes until memory back-up power is fully charged. Please refer to the User’s Manual for more information on trouble shooting. お手入れについて Proper Care of the BHT お手入れの前には、必ず電源をオフしてください。 ●BHT 本体および充電器の電極、充電池カートリッジの端子の汚れ BHT 本体や充電池カートリッジの電極の汚れは、定期的に綿棒などで拭き取ってください。 なお、拭き取る場合は、充電電極が変形しないように、ご注意ください。 清掃する場合は、ベンジン、シンナー、アルコール等は使用しないでください。 充電電極のメッキが剥げたりする恐れがあります。 ●ケースの汚れ ケースの汚れは乾いた柔らかい布で拭き取ってください。 汚れがひどいときは、水でうすめた中性洗剤に布を浸し、よく絞って拭き取り、乾いた布で仕上げて ください。 ベンジン、アルコールなどは使わないでください。ケースが変質したり、塗料がはげたりすることが あります。 ●液晶画面の汚れ 液晶画面は傷つきやすいので硬いものでこすったり、たたいたりしないでください。 表面に傷がついたり、割れたりすることがあります。 ●キーボードの汚れ キーボードの表面の汚れを拭き取るときは、強くこすったり、キーをひっぱったりしないでください。 キーが破損することがあります。 ●コード読み取り口の汚れ コード読み取り口のプレートにほこり・ごみが付着すると、コードの読み取りに影響します。 ほこりの多いところでご使用の場合は、読み取り口のプレートにほこりが付いていないか定期的に点 検し、ほこりが付着しているときは、エアーブラシでほこりを飛ばし、綿棒等の柔らかいもので軽く ふきとってください。 砂など硬いものが付着したときは、こすると読み取り口のプレートに傷が付きますのでエアーブラシ で砂などを飛ばすか、毛先の柔らかいブラシで掃いて取り除いてください。 Make sure to turn OFF the BHT before cleaning. ● Terminal dirt on the BHT, charger and battery cartridge Periodically wipe any dirt from the terminals of the BHT, charger and battery cartridge with a cotton swab or similar soft object. The terminal should be treated with the utmost care so as not to be scratched or bent during a cleaning. Never use organic solvents such as benzene or alcohol, as this may cause the coated surface to come off. ● Housing dirt Wipe any dirt from the housing with a dry, soft cloth. If excessively dirty, wipe with a soft cloth that has been soaked in soapy water (always use neutral detergent) and wrung out thoroughly. Never use organic solvents such as benzene or alcohol, as this may cause the housing to be marred or paint to peel off. ● LCD screen dirt Never rub or strike the LCD screen with anything hard, as this may result in scratches on the screen or breakage. ● Keypad dirt When cleaning the keypad, do not scrub the surface too hard or pull on the keys, as this may break the keys. ● Code reading window dirt Any dirt or dust adhering to the clear plate of the code reading window will adversely affect reading performance. When using in dusty areas, perform periodic inspections to check whether any dust has accumulated on the clear plate of the code reading window, and if so, first blow the dust away with an airbrush, and then gently wipe the plate with a cotton swab or similar soft object. If sand or hard particles have accumulated, rubbing the plate will result in scratches. Trouble 充電できない。 The BHT cannot be charged. ・専用の充電器を使用しているか確認してください。 ・充電池カートリッジが BHT に正しく装着されているか確認してください。 ・BHT が充電器に正しく装着されているか確認してください。 BHT が充電器に正しく装着されると、BHT の表示 LED が赤色点灯します。 ・充電池カートリッジや BHT 本体の電極が汚れていないか確認してください。 汚れている場合は、汚れをふき取ってください。 ・300 回以上充電を繰り返した古い充電池カートリッジを使用している場合は、新しい充電池カー トリッジと交換してください。 • Make sure that the dedicated battery charger is being used. • Make sure that the battery cartridge is properly inserted into the BHT. • Make sure that the BHT has been properly placed on the charger. • The BHT LED will turn red when properly placed on the charger. • Wipe any dirt from the battery cartridge and BHT terminals. • If the battery cartridge in use is an old one that has been repeatedly charged three hundred times or more, replace it with a new one.
