Dr. Thomas was a lecturer and tuba/ euphonium instructor for the University of Tennessee Music Department. He and his wife (the former Jana Simpson) and their children had recently moved from Arizona to the Clearwater community to be near his wife's family. While in Arizona, Dr. Thomas was a tuba/euphonium instructor and director of the pop band at the University of Arizona. ! WORKER KILLED AT RESOLUTE PLANT A contractor working at Resolute Forest Products (formerly Bowater) in Calhoun has died from injuries received in an accident. The man, whose name has not been released, was an employee of Jake Marshall Mechanical Contractors from Chattanooga. He was working at the Kraft Mill facility, which is where pulp is produced, when the accident happened last Friday. Details of the accident have not been released.
