Hose Barb Adapter 1. Place a 25 mm membrane filter on top of the support screen. Be sure separator discs are not placed inside the holder. 2. Place the O-ring on top of the membrane filter. 3. To ensure a proper seal, hold level while connecting the inlet. 4. Hand tighten the hose barb adapters on the inlet and the outlet connections. 5. Use of membrane filter and glass prefilter is recommended separately. Do not use a pre- and final filter together as a unit. The combined thickness may cause leakage. 6. Make certain the inlet and the outlet are oriented in the intended direction of flow. Cleaning/Autoclaving Instructions 1. To clean the filter holder, disassemble the unit and clean with a non-abrasive cleanser. 2. Rinse thoroughly with deionized water. 3. Allow to air dry. 4. If autoclaving is required, reassemble the unit loosely with or without the membrane filter in place. 5. Wrap the assembled filter holder in autoclave paper. 6. Autoclave at a maximum of 121 - 123 °C (250 - 253 °F) at approximately 1.0 bar (100 kPa, 15 psi) for 15 - 20 minutes. The maximum autoclave temperature may be limited by the membrane type. Please refer to the membrane specifications for complete information. 7. Avoid using steam containing amines.
