Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. 8- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that product heat. 9- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. 10- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. 11- Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer. 12- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, not be placed on this apparatus CAUTION: These servicing instructions are for use by qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk of electric shock do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so. 13- Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects with liquids, such a vases, shall be placed on the apparatus. 14- The set disconnection device from the mains is the plug. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF POWER SUPPLY ART. 931A/C17 Power supply in grey ABS housing; preset for mounting on cases with DIN 8-module support. This power supply features a dual electronic tone generator which replaces the traditional alternating current call on a buzzer or bell. The sound signal has two different tones (on terminals C1-C2), enabling users to immediately identify which point is calling (main entrance, gate, garage, etc.). This solution also makes it possible to use a single loudspeaker built into the phone itself to produce the sound. The use of C1 terminal for push-buttons commun wire for calls coming from the panel enables the activation of an acoustic signal in the same panel when calls are made to the interphones. Furthermore, this power supplier has been preset for operation with interphones with A.C. call; for such purpose terminal “CP” must be used as push-buttons “commun” terminal for calls from the door entry panel, which also routes an acoustic sound to the panel. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS This power supply can be used for two types of systems: 1) Simple communication between the inside phones and outdoor unit (Art. 930). Diagram c3693, c3694. 2) Communication between the speech unit (Art. 930) and inside phones with conversation privacy between users. In this case only the phone called from the outdoor unit is enabled for conversation and release of the lock, if any, on the door. Diagram c3762, c3763. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLERS - Carefully read the instructions on this leaflet: they give important information on the safety, use and maintenance of the installation. - After removing the packing, check the integrity of the set. Packing components (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene etc.) are dangerous for children. Installation must be carried out according to national safety regulations. - It is convenient to fit close to the supply voltage source a proper bipolar type switch with 3 mm separation (minimum) between contacts. - Before connecting the set, ensure that the data on the label correspond to those of the mains. - Use this set only for the purposes designed, i.e.for electric door-opener systems. Any other use may be dangerous. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by improper, erroneous or irrational use. - Before cleaning or maintenance, disconnect the set. - In case of failure or faulty operation, disconnect the set and do not open it. - For repairs apply only to the technical assistance centre authorized by the manufacturer. - Safety may be compromised if these instructions are disregarded. - Do not obstruct opening of ventilation or heat exit slots and do not expose the set to dripping or sprinkling of water. - Installers must ensure that manuals with the above instructions are left on connected units after installation, for users' information. - All items must only be used for the purposes designed. - The ominipolar switch must be easily accessed. - WARNING: to avoid the possibility of hurting yourself, this unit must be fixed to the wall according to the installation instructions. - This leaflet must always be enclosed with the equipment. Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE) The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol marked on the product indicates that at the end of its useful life, the product must be handled separately from household refuse and must therefore be assigned to a differentiated collection centre for electrical and electronic equipment or returned to the dealer upon purchase of a new, equivalent item of equipment. The user is responsible for assigning the equipment, at the end of its life, to the appropriate collection facilities. Suitable differentiated collection, for the purpose of subsequent recycling of decommissioned equipment and environmentally compatible treatment and disposal, helps prevent potential negative effects on health and the environment and promotes the recycling of the materials of which the product is made. For further details regarding the collection systems available, contact your local waste disposal service or the shop from which the equipment was purchased. Risks connected to substances considered as dangerous (WEEE). According to the WEEE Directive, substances since long usually used on electric and electronic appliances are considered dangerous for people and the environment. The adequate differentiated collection for the subsequent dispatch of the appliance for the recycling, treatment and dismantling (compatible with the environment) help to avoid possible negative effects on the environment and health and promote the recycling of material with which the product is compound. 2 A- Entrance panel series Patavium 8000, 8100, 1200, 3300 B- Additional push-button for lock C- Electric lock 12V∼ D- Outdoor unit Art.930, 930A L1- Bulb for panel lighting (3x24V 3W max.) 10x24V 3W with Art. 832/C17 16X24V 3W with Art. 832/3C7 POWER SUPPLY Art. 931A/C17 PRI 1 2 3- C2 6 7 8 C1 CP O 15 AS MAINS A L1 PHONE Art. 8875 Art. 8872 B 1 2 3 4/5 6 7 8 3 4 5 6 7 8 D ELVOX C PHONE Art. 6200 C A 7 AU 1 2 3 5 6E 6 6P 6S N.B.
