DESCRIPTION
Block Heater Switch - Wired to Shoreline
The chassis shall include a 110VAC powered engine block heater. The block heater shall
be wired to the module shoreline system and will include an OEM disconnect located in
the engine compartment.

In the driver seat area, there shall be an On/Off switch with pilot light for the engine block
heater, powered from shore.
Switch shall be mounted behind the drivers seat on floor close to side wall and will have a
"Block Heater Switch" plaque.

Reflective Barrier/Barymat/Spray Foam Thermal Insulation Package:
A. Reflective Barrier - Low-E Foil Wrapped Insulation System - The module walls shall
be insulated with high density 1" block foam. Wall areas that are too irregular for 1" block
foam insulation, or where the block foam will interfere with wall outlets and wire chases,
are to be insulated with 3M brand acoustical Thinsulate insulation. Then the entire interior
of the module shall be wrapped with 1/4" Low-E foil wrapped radiant barrier foam style
insulation.
B. This radiant barrier material will cover the following:
- Full ceiling and wrapping over the corner radius and down the sidewall
- Full side, front and rear walls from the top of the wall to the lowest possible point along
the side, front and rear walls
- Seams to be taped with silver / foil ducting tape to secure seams.
C.
Barymat sound deadening insulation over wheel wells and interior side of exterior
compartment walls. (Installed under 3M brand acoustical Thinsulate insulation).
D. Spray foam underbody insulation prior to undercoat application, full subfloor coverage
where applicable. Includes curbside step well area.

There shall be a Whelen Pioneer Flasher/Flood light recessed into the front body wall. A
separate switch shall be mounted in the front console that will change the light from the
flash mode to the flood scene mode. The light shall be wired to activate in the flash
warning mode with the warning lights and the flood mode on with ignition constant.

(1) Whelen pioneer PFA2 Dual panel LED scene light installed in recess mount on the front
wall of the module, just below cool bar in center.
The pioneer Dual panel light to flash as a white center warning light. Also add separate
switch on the front console to change light to a solid flood while in the warning mode. Also
allow the pioneer to act as a front flood light with out the emergency master on. Locate
switch with the Scene lights and mark as front flood.

The four outside corner lights and the (1) light over the CPR seat area and the (1) over the
walkway shall be designated module dome lights and be activated when the side or rear
module entrance doors are opened or by a three-way circuit allowing these lights to be
turned on and off from cab or module. The lights over the primary cot and squad bench
shall have switches in the module that will allow independent high/low/off control. The
lights shall produce at least 35 foot candles of light over ninety percent of the cot surface
area in the high setting.

A momentary switch to be wired direct to battery through a 15 minute timer to operate the

ENVIROMENTAL CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM
HVAC - Central Air Flow Discharge (UM & PM)
he design of the Heat/AC environmental system is to provide optimal air flow and
distribution of conditioned air evenly to all areas of the module interior. Conditioned air
shall not be discharged from one vent area but shall be distributed through multiple vents
evenly spaced in a line down the length of the module ceiling. The plenum that supplies
the vents shall be built into the module roof structure and shall not be visible. In order to
support the efficient and effective performance of the system and to prevent the build-up of
condensation inside, the interior of the plenum will be completely insulated with a reflective
barrier insulation material.
