Description
The FERROLUX® Measuring System allows operators of power
and telecommunication cables as well as public utility com pan-
ies for gas and water supply, to solve a wide variety of prob-
lems. This Audio Frequency Generator can be used for cable
and pipe location, cable fault location and cable identifi cation.
A new feature in the FERROLUX® range is the ability to trans-
mit three frequencies simultaneously, allowing to select the
best receiver frequencies during locating without the need to
return to the FLG generator to change frequencies here, too.
In conjunction with the Audio Frequency Receiver FLE 10,
the system can be used for implementing the new position
loca-ting mode SuperMax and the SignalSelect method
of identifying the direction of signal fl ow. The instrument
measures and displays the loop impedance of the object
under test, output voltage and current and phase angle.
There is no overheating of the generator in continuous
operation when feeding capacitive loads (insulated gas pipes)
or inductive loads (shorted cables).
The output power can be adjusted to two levels: low (up to
10 W) and high (up to 50 / 200 W)
