ORDER OF DRAW

Call Hematology at 2-3174 for
Bleeding Time and PFA

Blood Cultures are always drawn first
When using the vacutainer system:
Wh → Bl → Go → Rd → Gn (gel) →
La → Pi → Gn → Gy
When using a syringe and safety
transfer device:
Bl → La → Go → Gn (gel) → Rd →
Pi → Gy

Use a 6 mL EDTA tube
Optional: La or Rd tops

Mix all tubes 4 to 5 times as soon as
they are filled
