BLOOD BANK TESTING
The Collector and Witness are
required during collection
Use a 6 mL EDTA tube

ICE TRANSPORT
Ammonia and Lactate test samples
require an ice transport
ORDER OF DRAW
Blood Cultures are always drawn first
When using the vacutainer system:

Mix all tubes 4 to 5 times as soon as
they are filled
HEMATOLOGY
The tube must be full for Sed Rate/ESR
