LOGO REPRODUCTION

Following are guidelines for accurate usage and reproduction of the LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE &

FISHERIES logo–the most important graphic element of our departmental identity. Whenever possible, the

Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries logo should be reproduced in Pantone® spot colors–Pantone® 574

and Pantone® 468. It is acceptable, and often necessary, to substitute CMYK process inks to simulate Pantone®

spot colors. Use the CMYK formula listed below or use the CMYK logos for accurate conversion. For grayscale

applications, please use the B&W logos provided.

2018 LOGO STANDARDS

PROTECTED SPACE

For optimum impact and legibility, the logo should have a minimum amount of space, free of other type or

graphics surround it. This clear space, or “protected” space, is illustrated below.

“Y” is defined as the height of router ring.

The logo should have a minimum

protected space of “Y”, as measured

from the top, base, and sides of the logo.

UNACCEPTABLE LOGO REPRODUCTION

Careful use of the logos and instructions provided with this manual and working closely with your vendors will

prevent the following mistakes:

INCORRECT ORIENTATION

Do not place the logo at an angle.

Never, rotate, skew or distort.

INCORRECT PROPORTIONS

Do not stretch or squeeze the logo

horizontally or vertically.

INCORRECT RESOLUTION

If the logo appears to have

jagged edges do not use.

IMPROPER USAGE

Do not remove the white stroke around the

logo, even if on light background colors.

INCORRECT COLOR

Do not change the colors of the logo.

Always follow color guidelines.

EMAIL SIGNATURES

LDWF encourages all personnel to use the updated logo and format in their email signatures. A simple, consistent

signature with our logo communicates professionalism and provides instant brand recognition.

How to use the Email signature:

To make the color in your email and website the same color as the logo:

1. Select the text in the signature.

2. Click on the drop-down menu for color options.

3. Select “More Options” at the bottom of this dropdown.

4. A pop-up window will appear and you’ll be given the option to select a color on a screen or type in a

series of numbers.

5. Under “Color Model” select RGB.

6. Next you’ll type in the numbers descending in the boxes or use Hex Color #455A21:

a. Red: 69

b. Green: 90

c. Blue: 33

7. If you have trouble with this, please e-mail mfox@wlf.la.gov and ask her to reply with her e-mail

signature. From there, you may copy and paste her signature with the image into the signature box and

enter your contact information as a replacement. (This is the simplest option.)
