GENERAL INFORMATION
UDSM PROCUREMENT MIS is the web-based system for the procurement process
management in University of Dar-es-salaam (UDSM).
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
PREQUISITE INFORMATION
In order to run UDSM PROCUREMENT MIS System within your computer the following
environment must exist first.
▪ Operating System E.g.: Windows 7 and its successor version and LINUX
▪ Local Server of any type E.g.: XAMPP, MAMP, LAMP with php version 7.2.3
▪ Web Browser E.g.: CHROME, EDGE and FIREFOX
▪ MYSQL DATABASE

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
For the test sample I selected the following environment for my system.
▪ Operating System: Windows 10 Home
▪ Local Server: XAMPP SERVER
▪ PHP VERSION 7.2.3
▪ Browser: Google Chrome and EDGE
▪ Editor: Microsoft Visual Studio Code

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. To install XAMPP server follow the following link below and follow the
installation procedures for the successfully installation of server to run UDSM
PMIS.

2. To Install Web Browser, follow the following links for installation and follow
necessary installation procedures.
Google Chrome: https://www.google.com/chrome/
EDGE Browser: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/microsoft-edge
3. To install Microsoft Visual Studio Code Editor, follow the following link
below
VS Code Editor: https://code.visualstudio.com/
4. If you have successfully install XAMPP SERVER its come with built in PHP
VERSION. But If it does not then follow the following link to install
PHP Installation: http://php.net/
5. XAMPP Server it comes with the mysql Database or other. For mysql if not
installed please follow the following link for the installation.

MYSQL CONFIGURATION
After successfully of MYSQL DATABASE The following Configuration must be done to ensure
that the system is working perfect.
1. Open the root directory of the project to any text editor of your choice.

2. The Click to expand imports Directory
UDSM PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (UDSM PMIS)

3. Then go to the configuration.php file and open it.
4. The Change your Database username and password according to your system
installation.

3. Select the database udsm_procurement_mis.sql and import here.

4. After Successfully installation start your XAMPP Server and Ready to run UDSM
PROCURMENT MIS SYSTEM.
