VIRTUS: Protecting God's Children for Adults: Safe Environment Training
VIRTUS training is a three hour awareness session which better equips adults to protect
children in the world around them. It is required of all clergy, deacons, school and parish
employees as well as all volunteers who are in regular or unsupervised contact with chil-
dren under the age of 18.
SEAS has two Virtus sessions scheduled: Wednesday, May
9th at 6 pm and Wednesday, June 13th at 9:00 am. To regis-
ter, go to www.virtus.org and click on “register” in the left
hand column. You must register online. If you have a
scheduling conict, see the Virtus website for a listing of all
sessions and locations.
For more information, visit http://www.archspm.org/departments/pcyi/virtus.php
Volunteer training is mandated by the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. If you have already attended a
Virtus training session, check here ______. If you have not attended Virtus training, please read the bottom
part of this sheet. All adult volunteers need (free) Virtus training prior to the start of VBS.
You will not be able to volunteer without the training.
