• In order to meet all your heating needs, Vanguard
Vent-Free Gas Heaters are available in manually
operated and thermostatically controlled models.
Manual Control – Blue Flame & Infrared Models
• Vanguard’s Manually Controlled Vent-Free Heaters
allow you to choose the heat setting you prefer by
simply turning the control knob. The heater will
operate at the selected level until the control knob
is turned to off or another setting.
Thermostatically Controlled Heaters
• Blue flame models operate by gradually modulating
the heat output and flame height from the selected
setting to lower settings, or pilot, in order to maintain
a consistent room temperature. Operating from pilot,
thermostatically controlled infrared models turn all
the plaques on or off to maintain the heat output
desired.

Infrared Vent-Free Gas Space Heaters
Infrared Plaque Heaters radiate heat and “warm like the sun.” Direct heat
from the radiant plaques quickly warms people and objects in the room
before heating the air. As you enjoy the immediate comfort, the bright
orange plaques illuminate a warm cheery glow.
Blue Flame Vent-Free Gas Space Heaters
Blue Flame Convection Heaters work much like a central heating system.
They warm the air first, then people and objects. Altogether, the heat is

Use with adequate air (ventilation) only. Humidifies while
it heats. Provides water vapor in the area heated. Refer to
owner’s manual for specifics.
Product cannot be converted between fuel types.
