Final presentations



During the final class period, each student will prepare a 2-minute

presentation about an application of AI for social good



.



Instructions:

1. Choose one application of AI for social good. You can use examples

in industry or research.

2. In your presentation, answer the following questions:

a. What is the application and how does it work?

b. How has it already helped society?

c. What are potential issues with the application? Can you

connect these issues to topics we've brought up in class (such as

fairness, bias, transparency, regulation etc.)?

d. How would you extend this application in the future?

3. You will be allowed only 2 minutes for the presentation so we

encourage you to rehearse beforehand.

4. Prepare a presentation with exactly 2 slides (no more, no less). We

encourage you to use very minimal text on your slide and show

pictures and diagrams instead. Upload the slides in .pdf form to

Moodle by midnight the night before the final class.


