Tuned for Country, Tuned for You The Strum speaker The Strum Bluetooth speaker looks and feels unlike any other speaker. The shape and style are inspired by the familiar look and feel of an acoustic guitar and the audio is optimized for country music. The volume, bass, and treble knobs allow you to control the sound like never before, making sure your music sounds the way you know it should. Power Indicator Getting started We know you’re excited to experience your new Strum speaker. And you should be. Luckily, these two easy steps will get you up and running in no time. Step 1: Charge It Connect your Strum Speaker to a wall outlet using the USB AC adaptor or to a PC/laptop using the USB charging cable. The red LED with light during charging and turn off when fully charged. Please allow approximately 2 hours to fully charge. Step 2: Connect it Bluetooth When your Strum Speaker is fully charged or plugged into a wall outlet or PC, pair it with your smartphone or other Bluetooth capable device. 1. Press the VOLUME knob to turn on the speaker. A tone will sound and a blue LED will flash rapidly beneath the Bluetooth symbol. 2. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone or other Bluetooth capable device (refer to your device user guide for details). Your smartphone/device will now begin searching for Bluetooth devices. 3. When your smartphone/device finishes searching, select “Strum Speaker” from the device list. When connected, the blue LED will flash slowly. After initial pairing, “Strum Speaker” will appear in your device list. Simply select the device from the list to connect. 99 Getting started (cont) Operation details Auxiliary Your Strum can also connect to audio devices that are not Bluetooth enabled. Connect your device to Strum using an auxiliary (AUX) cable (not included) by inserting one end of the plug into the AUX IN port on Strum and the other end into your device as specified. The below instructions will help you get the most use out of your Strum speaker. NOTE: Bluetooth must be activated on your device to connect with Strum. Audio Controls Sound changes from artist to artist, album to album, and sometimes even track to track. With the volume, bass, and treble adjustments on Strum, you can get the best sound possible. Power on / off : Press the VOLUME knob to turn on/off the speaker. When turning on, a tone will sound and a flashing blue LED will flash rapidly beneath the Bluetooth symbol. When connected with a Bluetooth device, the blue LED will flash slowly. Volume Turn the VOLUME knob to adjust the volume (clockwise increases volume, counterclockwise decreases volume). 10 10 11 11 Operation details (cont) Troubleshooting Bass Turn the BASS knob to adjust the volume (clockwise increases bass, counterclockwise decreases bass). Treble Turn the TREBLE knob to adjust the volume (clockwise increases treble, counterclockwise decreases treble). Your Strum Speaker is designed to operate easily and reliably. However, problems can arise from time to time. If you need a little help, check out these common issues and solutions. NOTE: Knobs have no physical end points, allowing them to spin continuously in both directions; however, when the min/ max value is reached, the sound will no longer change as the knob spins. 12 12 Will Not Turn On • Strum may not be charged. Please charge for 2 hours or plug into a wall outlet using the USB AC Adaptor. • Make sure to press rather than turn the VOLUME knob Bluetooth Won’t Connect • Make sure your Strum speaker is on. • Make sure the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth enabled device is activated. • Make sure you are within Bluetooth connectivity range (40 feet). 13 13 Troubleshooting (cont) Technical specifications Poor Sound Quality/Volume • Make sure your Strum speaker is sitting on a level surface • Make sure your Strum speaker is facing outward • Make sure the volume control setting on both your Strum Speaker and your device are at your desired level.
