HL2739_SpkMojo_UserGuide_Working.indd 2-3 2/25/14 10:46 PM Getting Started We know you are excited to experience your new Speaker Mojo. These two easy steps will get you up and running quickly. Step 1: Charge It Connect your Speaker Mojo to an outlet using the USB charging cable and power adapter. The red LED light will slowly flash during charging and turn green when it has reached a complete charge (Approx. 2 hours). You can also put your speaker mojo onto the power cradle, and connect it to an outlet using the USB charging cable and power adapter to charge them both. Step 2: Connect it There are two options for connecting to your Speaker Mojo — wirelessly by Bluetooth© or wired using the included aux cable. Connect Wirelessly Once the Speaker Mojo has entered Bluetooth mode, the is currently in Bluetooth pairing mode will sound. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your mobile phone, tablet or computer Speaker Mojo and connected device will pair automatically. Holding the Play/Pause button for 5 seconds will disconnect the connected device and enter pairing mode for pairing a new device. HL2739_SpkMojo_UserGuide_Working.indd 4-5 Step 2: Connect it (continued) Direct Connection The Speaker Mojo can also be connected to any device that has a headphone jack or line out using the included aux cable. Please note the play/pause button only operates when connected via Bluetooth. Operation Details Power on / Power off Slide the power switch to “on” to turn on the Speaker Mojo. The Bluetooth indicator will light up to signify the unit is on and ready to be paired. Slide the power switch to “off” to turn off the unit and the Bluetooth indicator light will go out. Play modes • Bluetooth mode: play an audio signal from the connected Bluetooth device. • AUX mode: play an audio signal from the connected “wired” device. Please note, if an Aux cable is connected to the speaker it will not play music from Bluetooth© connected devices. 2/25/14 10:46 PM Operation Details (cont.) Play modes Touch the “audio mode” on either side of the speaker or press “audio mode” button on the remote to shift among following play modes: • Bluetooth mode: play an audio signal from the connected Bluetooth© device. • AUX mode: play an audio signal from the connected “wired” device. Please note, if an Aux cable is connected to the speaker it will not play music from Bluetooth© connected devices. • • • • • FM mode: play FM radio. Nature Song Mode: play 6 built-in songs. Press “audio mode” switch to natural sound play mode; Use SKIP+/SKIP- to select the sound you want to play, and the selected icon will flash on the screen; The selected music will start playing immediately. Bluetooth is the default play mode when the speaker is powered mode and enter this mode automatically when it turns back on. HL2739_SpkMojo_UserGuide_Working.indd 6-7 Speaker Phone After pairing your mobile phone to Speaker Mojo with Bluetooth, the speaker phone function can be used. • Making a call: Call will automatically transfer to the speakerphone. If not, tap play/pause button; • Answering a call: Tap play/pause button to answer the incoming call; • Ending a call : Tap play/pause button during the call to end the call; • Rejecting a call : Hold play/pause button to reject the incoming call; • Redial last number: Double tap play/pause button to redial the last number when it is not in a call. Both play/pause button on speaker and remote work with this function. Power Cradle The Power cradle is a backup battery pack for Speaker Mojo and your Bluetooth device. • The Speaker Mojo can be removed from the power cradle to be set anywhere you like. Put Speaker Mojo into the power cradle, it will triple the playing hours immediately. *(*The playing hours could vary due to different working environments) 2/25/14 10:46 PM • The Power cradle features a standard USB charging port with 5V, 1A power output to charge your device like iPhones, iPods and smartphones*. Slide the on/off switch on the Power cradle to “on” to turn on the charging, to “off” to turn off the charging. (*Please reference the instructions of device for details. The charging cable is not included. ) Charging Your Device Audio Use Follow the above connection steps to pair a Bluetooth© device with the Speaker Mojo. At this point you can send any kind of audio signal to your speaker (music, video, gaming, etc.). Just use your device as normal and the audio will play through your Speaker Mojo. Controls Press the Play/Pause button to play or pause the music when using a music player through your Bluetooth© connected device. Pressing the + and - buttons will increase or decrease the volume on the Speaker Mojo. Please note that this will not affect the volume levels on the connected device. Connection Laptop / notebook / PC As the Bluetooth© versions for these types of devices varies greatly, the connection methods will differ as well. If you can not connect with the Speaker Mojo using the previous 10 HL2739_SpkMojo_UserGuide_Working.indd 8-9 method instructed you may need to install a new version of the Bluetooth© driver. Please reference the instructions of device for details. Charging Connect the standard USB end of the supplied USB cable to a USB power source (PC, USB power adapter…etc.) Connect the Micro USB jack to the USB charging port on the unit or power cradle. The charging indicator will light up while charging. If you put Speaker Mojo into the power cradle, it will charge them both at the same time weather you connect the power to the Speaker Mojo or power cradle. Please note, the Speaker Mojo LED charging indicator will not light up when the speaker is charging on the Power Cradle It will take about 2 hours to fully charge the Speaker Mojo alone, 3 hours to fully charge the power cradle and 5 hours for charging them at the same time. Charging Indicator Light Modes Power indicator on Speaker Mojo • Red LED / Flashing Fast: Battery is low, charge the unit soon; • Red LED / Flashing Slow: Speaker Mojo is charging; • Green LED: Battery is fully charged Note: if the unit has not been used in the past 7 days please charge for 10 minutes before using the Speaker Mojo Indicator on power cradle • Red LED : Charging, it will goes off when it is fully charged; • Blue LED : power output is on. 11 2/25/14 10:46 PM Troubleshooting Maintenance Issue: Pairing is unsuccessfully after multiple attempts Solution: • Check if the Bluetooth indicator light is on. If the indicator light is off, please press the power button to turn the unit on. If the Bluetooth indicator light still doesn’t come on after pressing the power button, please charge the unit. • Check for other Bluetooth devices around the surroundings that may interfere with searching and turn devices off. • Power off and then power on the unit to restart the Bluetooth Unplug any cables plugged into the AUX IN, restart all devices and then attempt pairing again. Issue: Interference or static during playback Solution: Please follow the instructions below for cleaning your Speaker Mojo • Power off the unit and unplug the power adapter from wall outlet • Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth and wipe gently • Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinners or other chemical detergents as these can cause the casing to be warped or discolored For questions, comments or to purchase more bēm wireless products go to bemwireless.com • Avoid using the device between concrete or other building structures that may interfere with the signal. • Please check if the battery level of the unit and the Bluetooth© device and charge if necessary.
