76Getting StartedWe know you are excited to experience your new Speaker Mojo. These two easy steps will get you up and running quickly.Step 1: Charge It Connect your Speaker Mojo to an outlet using the USB charging cable and power adapter. The red LED light will slowly flash during charging and turn green when it has reached a complete charge (Approx. 2 hours).You can also put your speaker mojo onto the power cradle, and connect it to an outlet using the USB charging cable and power adapter to charge them both. Step 2: Connect itThere are two options for connecting to your Speaker Mojo — wirelessly by Bluetooth© or wired using the included aux cable.Connect Wirelessly Once the Speaker Mojo has entered Bluetooth mode, the is currently in Bluetooth pairing mode will sound. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your mobile phone, tablet or computer Speaker Mojo and connected device will pair automatically.Holding the Play/Pause button for 5 seconds will disconnect the connected device and enter pairing mode for pairing a new device.Operation DetailsPower on / Power offSlide the power switch to “on” to turn on the Speaker Mojo. The Bluetooth indicator will light up to signify the unit is on and ready to be paired. Slide the power switch to “off” to turn off the unit and the Bluetooth indicator light will go out.Play modes • Bluetooth mode: play an audio signal from the connected Bluetooth device. • AUX mode: play an audio signal from the connected “wired” device.Please note, if an Aux cable is connected to the speaker it will not play music from Bluetooth© connected devices.Step 2: Connect it (continued)Direct ConnectionThe Speaker Mojo can also be connected to any device that has a headphone jack or line out using the included aux cable.Please note the play/pause button only operates when connected via Bluetooth.HL2739_SpkMojo_UserGuide_Working.indd 4-5 2/25/14 10:46 PM
98Operation Details (cont.)Play modesTouch the “audio mode” on either side of the speaker or press “audio mode” button on the remote to shift among following play modes: • Bluetooth mode: play an audio signal from the connected Bluetooth© device. • AUX mode: play an audio signal from the connected “wired” device.Please note, if an Aux cable is connected to the speaker it will not play music from Bluetooth© connected devices. • FM mode: play FM radio. • Nature Song Mode: play 6 built-in songs. • Press “audio mode” switch to natural sound play mode; • Use SKIP+/SKIP- to select the sound you want to play, and the selected icon will flash on the screen; • The selected music will start playing immediately.Bluetooth is the default play mode when the speaker is powered mode and enter this mode automatically when it turns back on. Speaker PhoneAfter pairing your mobile phone to Speaker Mojo with Bluetooth, the speaker phone function can be used. • Making a call: Call will automatically transfer to the speakerphone. If not, tap play/pause button; • Answering a call: Tap play/pause button to answer the incoming call; • Ending a call : Tap play/pause button during the call to end the call; • Rejecting a call : Hold play/pause button to reject the incoming call; • Redial last number: Double tap play/pause button to redial the last number when it is not in a call.Both play/pause button on speaker and remote work with this function.Power CradleThe Power cradle is a backup battery pack for Speaker Mojo and your Bluetooth device. • The Speaker Mojo can be removed from the power cradle to be set anywhere you like. 1110 • The Power cradle features a standard USB charging port with 5V, 1A power output to charge your device like iPhones, iPods and smartphones*. Slide the on/off switch on the Power cradle to “on” to turn on the charging, to “off” to turn off the charging. (*Please reference the instructions of device for details. The charging cable is not included. ) Charging Your DeviceAudio UseFollow the above connection steps to pair a Bluetooth© device with the Speaker Mojo. At this point you can send any kind of audio signal to your speaker (music, video, gaming, etc.). Just use your device as normal and the audio will play through your Speaker Mojo.ControlsPress the Play/Pause button to play or pause the music when using a music player through your Bluetooth© connected device.Pressing the + and - buttons will increase or decrease the volume on the Speaker Mojo. Please note that this will not affect the volume levels on the connected device.ConnectionLaptop / notebook / PCAs the Bluetooth© versions for these types of devices varies greatly, the connection methods will differ as well. If you can not connect with the Speaker Mojo using the previous method instructed you may need to install a new version of the Bluetooth© driver.Please reference the instructions of device for details.ChargingConnect the standard USB end of the supplied USB cable to a USB power source (PC, USB power adapter…etc.)Connect the Micro USB jack to the USB charging port on the unit or power cradle. The charging indicator will light up while charging. If you put Speaker Mojo into the power cradle, it will charge them both at the same time weather you connect the power to the Speaker Mojo or power cradle. Please note, the Speaker Mojo LED charging indicator will not light up when the speaker is charging on the Power CradleIt will take about 2 hours to fully charge the Speaker Mojo alone, 3 hours to fully charge the power cradle and 5 hours for charging them at the same time. Charging Indicator Light ModesPower indicator on Speaker Mojo • Red LED / Flashing Fast: Battery is low, charge the unit soon; • Red LED / Flashing Slow: Speaker Mojo is charging; • Green LED: Battery is fully charged Note: if the unit has not been used in the past 7 days please charge for 10 minutes before using the Speaker MojoIndicator on power cradle • Red LED : Charging, it will goes off when it is fully charged; • Blue LED : power output is on.HL2739_SpkMojo_UserGuide_Working.indd 8-9 2/25/14 10:46 PM
1312TroubleshootingIssue: Pairing is unsuccessfully after multiple attemptsSolution: • Check if the Bluetooth indicator light is on. If the indicator light is off, please press the power button to turn the unit on.
