IntroductionThe PAL is a body worn device worn by the correctional officers and is intended to alertthe monitoring personnel of a trouble situation.  The PAL is equipped with a panicbutton that the correctional officer can use to activate an “alarm mode” to notify othersof trouble.  Additionally, the PAL is equipped with a “break away” strap that will alsosend an alarm condition if the PAL is separated from the strap.UnpackingCarefully unpack the equipment.  Immediately report any damages to the shipper.FCCNOTE:This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digitaldevice, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.  These limits are designed to providereasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in aresidential environment.  This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radiofrequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructionmanual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.  However, there isno guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation.  If thisequipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which canbe determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try tocorrect the interference by one or more of the following measures:•  Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. •  Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. •  Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which thereceiver is connected. •  Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.NOTICE:Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible forcompliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.Shielded interface cables and AC power cord, if any, must be used in order to complywith the emission limits.
