Introduction
The PAL is a body worn device worn by the correctional officers and is intended to alert
the monitoring personnel of a trouble situation. The PAL is equipped with a panic
button that the correctional officer can use to activate an “alarm mode” to notify others
of trouble. Additionally, the PAL is equipped with a “break away” strap that will also
send an alarm condition if the PAL is separated from the strap.
Unpacking
Carefully unpack the equipment. Immediately report any damages to the shipper.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a

Shielded interface cables and AC power cord, if any, must be used in order to comply
with the emission limits.
