GETTING STARTED You should follow three steps before using your DEVICE, BHF2000S: 1. Charge your DEVICE. 2. Activate Bluetooth function on your mobile phone (refer to the manual for your mobile phone) 3. Pair your DEVICE to your mobile phone. The buttons on the DE VICE perform different f unctions depending on how long you press it. Plug the ca r cha rger into your car ’s power outlet. The Battery st atus i con will light up red while charging. When fully charg ed the Battery st atus icon will turn green. It t akes app roximately 2 hours 30 minutes to fully recharge the DEVICE. Do not use chargers from any other devices as this may damage your DEVICE. ※When the DEVICE batt ery is l ow, Battery status icon on th e DEVICE wil l blink, indicating that it needs to be recharged. 2.2 TURNING YOUR DEVICE ON AND OFF -> !NOTE: When disco nnected from your mobil e phon e, T he DEVICE will automatically turn into sle ep mode af ter 1 minutes. By following a fe w simple steps, a p hone can be paired with a speakerphone in a matter of minutes. 1. a) First time pairing: When you turn on your DEVICE for first time, it will be in pairing mode. B) Enter pairing mode: Turn the DEVICE on. 1) Pre ss a nd hold the MFB until you hear the an nouncement “Pair mod e” and the Connection status icon will begin to flash. 2) Tap the MFB or say “Hello, Drive NTalk (drive and talk)” when the voice trigger is on. When you hear “Say a comma nd” anno uncement, say “Pai r mode. ” Th en, the Connection status icon will begin to flash. 2. Activate Bluetooth function on your m obile pho ne. Then set your mobile phone to search for Bluetooth enabled devices and select ‘BHF2000S’ on the list. 3. The DEVICE can be used when it is “conne cted” to the phone. The D EVICEs are p aired, but if not immediately connected, tap the MFB. 3. PLACE THE DEVICE IN YOUR CAR The DEVEICE sits discreetly and conveniently on the sun visor using the att ached clip. For optimal sound quality, place the DEVICE right in front of you and sp eak directly to the DEVICE. 4. The Touch sensor key p ad icon will be turned on when Touch mode. In o rder to switch gesture sensing mode, press the MFB and the Mode button together for 3 seconds. You will hear th e announcement “Gesture sensing mode”, and it will change mode. The DEVICE will remem ber it s last setting mode wh en turnin g back on. 4.2 Answering/Ending a call Answer a call: Tap the MFB on your DEVICE to answer a call. End a call: Press the MFB on your DEVICE to end an active call. 4.3 Making a call Using your mobile phone Call will automatically transfer to your DEVICE . If it does n ot, please press and hold the MFB for 5 seconds on the DEVICE. Via your DEVICE You can place a call with the DEVICE in following ways: 1) Call favorite Tab the MF B or sa y “H ello, DriveNTalk” when th e vo ice trigger is on. When ‘S ay a command’ message is heard, say any Call favorite. You can choose amongst 7 Call favorites ‘Call home, call office, Call favorite 1~5”. The DEVICE will dial the number saved on each Call favorite numbers. !NOTE Refer to ‘4.8 Setting’. You can save numbers you want on each call favorite numbers. 2) Redial last number • With the DEVICE Press and hold the MFB for 3 seconds When the DEVICE is connected to your mobile phone. • Us ing Voice Command Tab the MF B or sa y “H ello, DriveNTalk” when vo ice trig ger is on. W hen ‘Sa y a co mmand’ i s heard, say ‘Redial’. The DEVICE will redial the last outgoing number. 4.4 Volume control 4.4.1 Volume Up 1. You can v olume up by using gesture sensing. Move your hand to the right way in front of the DEVICE. 4.4.2 Volume Down 1. You can volume down by using gestu re sensing. Move your hand to the left way in front of the DEVICE. !NOTE: For smooth gesture sensing operation, keep 3cm distance from th e DEVICE to your finger !NOTE: In FM mode, volume adjustment only controlled by your vehicle’s stereo. 4.5 Mute on/off Double t ap the Mod e butt on to mute y our mi crophone an d ag ain to turn mute of f. The mute beep tone will be heard every 5 seconds. www.driventalks.com BHF 2000S User Manual v1.0 Contact: info@driventalks.com T . +82.70.7547.7502 F. +82.2.501.1851 11 4.6 Transfer call 1) Press and hold the MFB until you hear two beeps to transfer a call from the DEVICE to the mobile phone. 2) Press an d h old the MFB until you hea r two bee ps t o transfe r a call from the mobile phone to the DEVICE. 4.7 Play music* If your mobile phon e su pports A2DP audio streaming then you can tran sfer music from your mobile phon e to the DEVICE. Musi c streaming can be con trolled from your mobil e phone. 4.8 Setting Entering Setting Menu 1. Tap the MFB or say “Hello, DriveNTalk” when the voice trigger is on. 2. After ‘Say a command’ message is heard, say ‘Settings menu’. 3. The DEVICE will announce ‘Settings menu, you can say incoming call announcement, save favorite or cancel’. Say what you want to do or cancel to exit setting. Incoming Call Announcement Enable or disable incoming call announcement at Settings Menu. 1. Say ‘Incoming call announcement’. 2. According to the current setting, the DEVICE will announce , ‘The incoming call announcement is on. Do you want to turn it off?’ or ‘The incoming call announcement is off. Do you want to turn it on?’ 3. Say ‘yes’ or ‘no’. 4. Say ‘Save favorite’. The DEVICE will announce , ‘A phone number can be saved as a favorite after you have received an incoming call from X-X-X-X-X’. ‘Tell which favorite you want me to save it as.’ ‘You can say, Call Home, Call Office, Call Favorite followed by number 1 to 5 or cancel’. Say what you want to save or cancel to exit setting. If you say ‘Call home’, the DEVICE will announce ‘Phone number saved as call home’ and ‘Is that right?’ for your confirmation. If you say ‘yes’, the DEVICE will announce ‘Phone number saved’ and exit setting. If you say ‘no’, the DEVICE exit settings without saving. • Quick Voice Dial Editor Visit DriveNTalk website (www.driventalks.com) and download Quick Voice Dial Editor from ‘Support & Download’ menu. You can manually pre-install numbers of ‘Favorite 1~5’, ‘Office’, ‘Home’ and service numbers of ‘Call Information’ and ‘Text Message’. !Note This progra m can only run in Microsof t Windows X P and Windows V ista, Windows 7 (32bit). 5. ADDITIONAL FEATURES 5.1 Using your DEVICE with TWO mobile devices The DEVICE is ca pable of having two m obile ph ones (o r oth er Bluetooth device s) connected to the DEVICE at the same time. This will give you the freedom of having only one DEVICE to operate both of your mobile phones. Please note that Last Number Redial will call numbers from the primary phone (last connected phone). Press and hold the Mo de button for 5 se c and set your ra dio to the announced frequency. If you need to chan ge frequency, slide your finger to the right/lef t on the touch key p ad. For scan ning freque ncy, press the mode button for 3 sec. The FM transmit will automatically turn off after 1 minutes if the function is not used. 5.3 Download phonebook and caller ID* The DEVICE supports PBAP function; you can download your contacts to the DEVICE up to 2,000 cont acts. The first time you conne ct your DEVICE to yo ur mobile ph one, your contacts will be transferred automatically to the DEVICE. !NOTE: B HF2000S support multi-p oint function, th e DEVICE can save up to 1,000 contacts per connected phone. If you add contacts to your mo bile phon e an d need to phonebook, you can start manual update by update you r downloaded very long press on the Mode butt on when the DEVICE is turned on and connected to your mobile phone. 5.4 Voice Trigger You can simply activate the DEVICE by saying ‘Hello DriveNTalk(drive and talk)’ To activate the voice trigger mode on/off, tab the mode button. Battery standby time is about 65hours when the voice trigger is on, about 270 hours when the voice trigger is off. 5.5 Firmware upgrade Download latest firmware and user guide fro m ‘www .driventalks.com’, refer to Technical S upport if re quired. VOICE COMMAND You can simply activate voice command mode by saying ‘Hello DriveNTalk(drive and talk)’ and the DEVICE will be ready to receive your voice commands.
