Installing the Wireless Siren
Connect the Battery
The Wireless Siren uses a NiMH rechargeable battery pack, included. Remove the battery cover on the back of
the siren and insert the battery pack. Plug the battery pack connector to the two pin connector on the Siren.
Reattach battery door.
Mounting
Plug Wireless Siren into constant power AC outlet.
An optional screw mount is available to prevent easily unplugging the device. Using a screw driver or other
tool, remove the thin layer of material in the center of the screw tab on the Siren. Next, remove the center
screw of the wall plate on the AC outlet you are plugging the Siren into. You may either use that same screw
you just removed from the AC outlet, or use the longer screw that is included in the Siren packaging. Place
the cover plate of the AC outlet on, and then plug in the Siren WITH THE SCREW TAB POINTING TOWARDS
THE FLOOR. Insert screw through the Siren screw tab and tighten Siren and wall plate so the Siren is tight to
the wall plate.
Enrolling
To enroll the siren, set your panel into program mode, refer to your specific alarm panel manual for details on
these menus. When prompted by the panel, trigger the siren by pressing the LEARN button on the side of the
siren. If successfully enrolled, you will see the LED flash, and the alarm panel will BEEP.
Enable/Disable Chime Feature
Enable:
• Make sure the chime feature has been turned on in the Interlogix panel first.
• Simultaneously press the LEARN and TEST buttons on the side of the Siren for 2 seconds.
• LED will remain on , and the siren module will BEEP, indicating the chime feature is ON
Disable:
• The chime function can be on or off in the Interlogix panel, this will not affect disabling Wireless
Siren’s chime function.
• Simultaneously press the LEARN and TEST buttons on the side of the Siren for 2 seconds.
• LED will blink off, and the siren will not chirp, indicating the chime feature is Off.
Range Test
After the SS-319 Siren has been learned into the panel, an RF range test can be initiated. To do this, press the
test button for one second. This will cause the siren to send 8 test packets to the panel, and the LED on the
siren will blink each time a packet is sent. As the panel receives each of the 8 packets, it will send an
acknowledgement packet back to the Siren. The Siren will chirp each time an acknowledgement is received.
As an example, if the button is pressed for one second, and then 7 chirps are heard from the siren, that
indicates that 7 out of 8 test packets were successfully received by the panel and acknowledged back to the
siren. This means that either one packet was not received by the panel, or that the acknowledgement back
from the panel was not received by the Siren.
Factory Reset
In case you want to return the Wireless Siren to a factory default state, press and hold BOTH buttons on the
side of the Siren for 10 seconds. When successful, the LED will FLASH XXXX, and you will hear the Siren BEEP
XXXX times.
