on recording
You cannot record copy-protected
video using this
unit. Copy-protected
video includes DVD-Video
discs and some satellite broadcasts.
If copy-protected
material is encountered during a
recording, recording will pause or stop automatically
and an error message will be displayed on-screen.
Video that is "copy-once only" can only be recorded
using a DVD-RW disc in VR mode with CPRM (see
below).
When recording aTV broadcast or through an
external input, you can display copy control information on screen.
What
is "CPRM"?
CPRM is a copy protection system with scramble system regarding the recording of "copy
once"
broadcast
programs.
CPRM

To play a DVD, make sure that it meets the requirements for Region Codes and Color Systems as
described below. Discs that have the following Iogos
will play on the unit. Other Disc types are not guaranteed to play.
