www.Fisher.comFisherrET, EAT, and ETRSliding-Stem Control ValvesFisher ET, EAT, and ETR general-purpose control valves(figures 1, 2, and 3) are used for throttling or on-offcontrolofawidevarietyofliquidsandgases.Allthreevalve designs have single ports, balanced valve plugs, and cage guiding. Metal-to-PTFE seating for stringentshutoff requirements is standard in all valves exceptthose with CavitroltIII cages. Metal-to-metal seatingforhighertemperaturesisstandardforvalveswithCavitrol III cages and optional for all other valves. The temperature limits of ET valves can be extendedabove 232_C(450_F) by using PEEK(PolyEtherEtherKetone) anti-extrusion rings incombination with a spring-loaded PTFE seal. The PEEKanti-extrusion rings expand to close off the clearancegapbetweentheplugandthecagewherethePTFEseal may extrude at high temperatures and pressures. The temperature limits are extended to 316_C (600_F)for non-oxidizing service and to 260_C(500_F) foroxidizing service. The ET product line is available for a wide range ofapplications, including sulfide and chloridestress-cracking environments common to the oil andgas production industries. To discuss availableconstructions, contact your Emerson ProcessManagement sales office and include the applicablecodes and standards required for these environments. The easy-etValve FamilyET, EAT, and ETR control valves are part of the versatileeasy-e family of Fisher industrial control valves. easy-evalves share the following characteristics:Multiple trim material choicesInterchangeable, restricted-capacity trims andfull-sized trims to match variable process flowdemandsFISHER ET CONTROL VALVEWITH 667 ACTUATORW1916-3Different cage/plug styles that provide particularflow characteristics for highly-specializedapplications. The standard cage comes in threedifferent flow characteristics: Jquick-opening,Jlinear, or Jequal percentage.Whisper TrimtI, Whisper Trim III (figure 6), andWhisperFlotcages (figures 4 and 5) attenuateaerodynamic noise in gaseous service.To help eliminate cavitation damage in aproperly-sized valve, a standard-travel, Cavitrol III,one-stage cage (figure 8) and a long-travel, CavitrolIII, two-stage cage are available in the NPS 1throughNPS8ETcontrolvalve.ET ValveD100022X012Product Bulletin51.1:ETDecember 2012
ET ValveD100022X012Product Bulletin51.1:ETDecember 20122FeaturesCompliance with the Clean Air Act–ENVIRO-SEAL™packing systems (figures 9 and 10) that provide animproved stem seal to help prevent the loss ofprocess fluid are available. These packing systemsfeaturePTFEorGraphiteULFpackingwithlive-loading for reduced packing maintenance.PTFE Seating for Long-Lasting ShutoffCapability–Controlled compression of standardseat construction protects PTFE disk between metaldisk seat and disk retainer (figure 1). Only the edgeof the PTFE disk is contacted by the flowstreamduring normal operation. Excellent shutoff ismaintained by a backup ring or spring-loading thatforces the valve plug seal ring against the cage(figure 1).Valve Plug Stability– Rugged cage guiding provideshigh valve plug stability, which reduces vibrationand mechanical noise.Cost-Effective Operation and MaintenanceEconomy–Increased wear resistance of hardenedstainless steel trim means longer-lasting service. When inspection or maintenance is necessary, thebody can stay in the pipeline during removal of trimparts. Balanced valve plug construction permits useof smaller, lower-cost Fisher actuators. The ETRvalve also permits easy body interior access withouthaving to remove the bonnetoractuator(figure3).And, trim inventory costs are cut becausedimensional standardization permits use of moststandard easy-etrimparts.Compliance with European Standards–Valvesareavailable with dimensions specified by EN/DINstandards. See figure 15.Sour Service Capability– Unless otherwise noted, references are to NACE MR0175-2002. Optionalmaterials are available to meet NACE MR0103 andNACE MR0175 / ISO 15156. Material requirementsunder these standards vary by edition and year ofissue; the specific standard must be specified.Table of ContentsFeatures 2.....................................Specifications 3................................ENVIRO-SEAL Packing SystemSpecifications 4..............................ENVIRO-SEAL and HIGH-SEALPacking Systems 6...........................ANSI/FCI Class VI ShutoffCapabilities 6................................TablesAvailable Constructions 5.......................Shutoff Classifications 5........................Class VI Shutoff Availability 6....................Class VI Trim Materials 6........................Trim Materials 10..............................Materials and Temperature Limits forOther Parts 17..............................Valve Body/Trim TemperatureCapabilities 18.............................Bonnet Selection Guidelines 19..................Maximum Flow Coefficients 19..................Port Diameters, Valve Plug Travel,Stem and Yoke Boss Diameters 20.............Metal Trim Parts 23............................Bolting Materials and Temperature Limits 23......Dimensions 24.................................Ordering Information 27.........................
