5.0 Regulatory Requirements (FCC and IC)
TheEnergateRM30RadioModuledevicecomplieswithFCC(Part15)andIndustryCanada(RS‐210)
regulatoryrequirements.OperationoftheRM30issubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:
1. Thisdevicemaynotcauseharmfulinterference
2. Thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterferencethatmaycause
undesiredoperation.
TheEnergateRM30RadioModulecanbeintegratedintoavarietyofdifferentproducts.Withthis
inmind,theRM30hasobtainedFullModularApprovalfromboththeFCCandIC.Thisapprovalmeansthat
theRM30isdesignedinsuchawaythatitisaself‐containedentity.TheRM30canthenbeattachedto
ANYproductwithoutanyfurthertestingbytheFCCorICfor(radio)regulatorycomplianceinthe2400‐
2483.5MHzband.
5.1 RF Exposure Warning
ThisequipmentcomplieswithFCCradiationexposurelimitssetforthforanuncontrolled
environment.Thisdevicemustbeinstalledinaccordancewiththeprovidedinstructionsandmustbe
operatedwithminimum20cmspacingbetweentheantennasandanyperson’sbodyduringwirelessmode
ofoperation.Further,thistransmittermustnotbecollocatedandoperatedinconjunctionwithanyother
antennaortransmitter.
Changesormodificationsnotexpresslyapprovedbythepartyresponsibleforcompliancecould
voidtheuser’sauthoritytooperatetheequipment.

2. OperatethemoduleaccordingtothespecificationslistedinthisUserManual.
3. Includealabelclearlyvisibleontheexterioroftheendproductwhichstates:

NOTE:ItismandatorythatendusersoftheEnergateRM30consultallFCCandICdocumentationforuseof
aproductwithmodularapproval,andensureanyproductscomplywithalllistedguidelinesandadditional
testingthatmayberequired.
