RIII106 Rev 171024 1-800-Keyless www.keyless.com Essex Prox Series Readers Essex Prox Series Proximity readers; Output: 26 Bit Wiegand Open Format Voltage(s): 5 VDC, +/- 0.1V 100mA 12 VDC, +/- 3.0V 100mA Temperature: -40º C to +70º C (-40º F to +160º F) These Readers are internally selectable for 5 or 12 Volts. There are internal circuits that will automatically switch the device from 5 V operation to 12 V operation when the applied voltage is 12 V. DATA 1 and DATA 0 signals are open collector outputs with 10K resistor pull-ups to the internal +5V. The data is sent at 1 mSec per bit with a pulse duration of 50 uSec. An annunciator beeps with each card read. The idle LED color that is illuminated will blink off with every card read, and the prox read color will blink on. Reads select HID Global, & AWID proximity formats. Wiring: Red Black White Green Brown Yellow Violet Orange +5 +/-10% or 12V DC, +/- 20%, auto select DC Ground Data 1 Data 0 LED Control, grounded = “Access Granted” illumination, default is green. Audio Control, grounded = continuous beep LED control, grounded = “Access Denied” & “Access Granted” illumination to flash at a half second rate. LED Control grounded = “Access Denied” color, default is red This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: —Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. —Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. —Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Modification of our product not only voids our warranty, but will also void the authority to operate this product within the limits of FCC part 15 rules.
