Out—Oi-Range Alarm: An alarm wtll sound through your Parent’s Unit ii:

- The unrts are set to different channels.
- Power to the Baby's Unit is lost.
- A strong intenenng Signal starts on the selected channel.
The Out-OfaRange Alarm can only be stopped by reestablishing Contact
between the two units or by turning oil the Parent's Unit. This alarm feature
is designed to give you confidence and reassurance that your Evenflo
Constant Care 4000 Parent Pager is functioning properly.
Operational Range: Vour monitor's typical transmission/recepuon range rs
typically 600 teet depending on battery power and possible obstructions (i e.
walls) that radio waves encounter. The methods and materials used in your
home's CthUuLlan, terrain and other lactois may also affect transmission.
Power indicator Light: The Power indicator Light Will illuminate green
whenever the unit is turned on. whether the unit is stationary (plugged into
the adapter) or panab‘e (using battery power).
Channel A/B: ll interference occurs, change BOTH your Baby’s Unit and
Paient's Unit to the alternate Ireuuency channel, The Constant Care 6000

The Baby's Unit
The Sahy's Unit is a transmitter, which sends sounds to the Parent’s Uni!
(receiver) it is powered either a 9 volt battery or by an AC adapter which is
included. ‘
I . Place the Eaby's Unit on a hard flat surface 5 to lo feet away from the
baby. Do not place it on a soft suilace or it may up over.
7 . Aim the (rant 0! the Baby's Unit towards the baby, Be sure that there

the baby.

The Parent's Unit receives sound trcm the Baby’s Unit (Transmitter) and is
pvwered either by three AAA batteries or by an AC adapter which is included.
\. Check the channel switch. liislire ihe Baby's Unit is set to the same
channel as the Parent’s Unit.
2 . Move to a room away lrum the Baby‘s Unit.
3. Place the Parent's Unit where you can easily manitor it by sight or sound.
You can use the Parent‘s unit three ways:
0 When using batteries. place it where you can easily see or hear it.
- When usmg batteries. wear it usmg the belt clip.
' When uSing the adapter plugged into a stindard wall outlet
4 Turn on the Parent's unit by rotating the Oil/Oil Volume Cuntrol, whilst

5. Turn OFF the l’arent's Unit when not in iise.
6 . Have someone speak into the Eaby‘s Unit to verify sound transmission.
