The patented MEM incorporates both magnetic and mechanical design principles to achieve a superior holding force of up to 1000kg, whilst being 75% smaller than a standard 600kg Electro Magnet. The MEM2400 is capable of opening with up to 70kg side pressure on the door and has the added security function of “Early Warning” alarm condition. The device comes with the FSH patented “Anti-Tamper-Bracket” as standard. The MEM2400EXT will open with up to 70kg side pressure (Pre-Load) on the door. In addition to Door and Lock Status Sensors, the device is also equipped with a 2 stage Early Warning alarm function (EW), Light Panel (LP), a local internal sounder and optional CCTV camera. A 12 Volt PIR movement detector is required, but not supplied with the MEM locking device to monitor movement on the secure side of the door ensuring the door cannot be released from the non-secure side (outside). The device is equipped with the patented Anti-Tamper plate. The Early Warning alarm operates in two stages. Stage 1 Stage 2 Triggered on initial pressure being applied to the particular door fitted with the device in the form of a local audible and/or remote alarm. The initial pressure to the door is called “Nuisance Delay Period” and can be set from 0 to 3 seconds. After the Nuisance Delay Period, and if continuous pressure is applied to the door, stage 2 is triggered. Activates both, local and remote alarm indications. At this time the device will release the door with an optional time delay of 0, 15 or 30 seconds. The VE1260 is considered a “Green Product” as it consumes an inrush current of 290mA@12VDC only during locking and unlocking action (Active Mode), then in the locked or unlocked state (Sleep-Mode), the Drop Bolt consumes current less than15mA@12VDC.
