Battery Replacement
Battery Replacement
• Locate the battery compartment
on the bottom of the toy.
• Loosen the screws in the battery
compartment door with a Phillips
screwdriver. Remove the battery
compartment door.
• Remove the exhausted batteries
from the battery compartment
and properly discard them.
• Insert three “C” (LR14) alkaline
batteries as indicated inside the
battery compartment.
Hint: We recommend using
alkaline batteries for longer
battery life.
• Replace the battery compartment
door and tighten the screws with
a Phillips screwdriver. Do not
over-tighten.
• When sounds from this toy
become faint or stop working,
it’s time for an adult to replace
the batteries!

For best performance, we recommend replacing the batteries that
came with this toy, with three, new “C” (LR14) alkaline batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix different types of batteries:
alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium).
• Remove the batteries during long
periods of non-use. Always remove
exhausted batteries from the toy.
Battery leakage and corrosion
can damage this toy. Dispose
of batteries safely.
•Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
The batteries may explode or leak.
• Never short circuit the battery terminals.
• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to
be recharged.
•Only batteries of the same or
equivalent type as recommended
in the “Battery Replacement”
instructions are to be used.
• If removable rechargeable batteries
are used, they are only to be charged
under adult supervision.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be
removed from the toy before they
are charged.
• If you use a battery charger, it should
be examined regularly for damage
to the cord, plug, enclosure and
other parts. Do not use a damaged
battery charger until it has been
properly repaired.

Elevator

switch on the
bottom of the toy.
• Slide the switch
to the position
to turn the toy on
and to the
position to turn
it off.

Idle Mode
• To start idle mode, make sure the shift lever is down, then press down on the
driver while he is in the driver’s seat.
• In idle mode, the driver and truck converse, the truck’s motor will rumble and
its eyes and “mouth” move.
Overdrive Mode
• Lift the shift lever to switch the truck to overdrive.
• In overdrive mode the truck drives forward and talks while its eyes and
“mouth” move.
• When the truck stops, you can restart overdrive in either of two ways:
-Push the shift lever down and lift it again.
-Push down on the driver, in the driver’s seat (with the lever up).
Hint: In either mode, move the elevator up and down to hear more
sound effects.
