Bindingistheprocessofuniquelyassociatingaparticularreceivertoatransmittermodule.Atransmittermodulecanbe

Followthestepsbelowtofinishthebindingprocedure.
1.TurnonthetransmitterwhileholdingtheF/Sbuttononthemodule(pleaserefertothemoduleinstructionmanualfor
switchpositions).Releasethebutton.TheREDLEDontheXJTmodulewillflash,indicatingthetransmitterisreadytobind
tothereceiver.
2.ConnectthebatterytothereceiverwhileholdingtheF/Sbuttononthereceiver.TheREDLEDonthereceiverwillflash,
indicatingthebindingprocessiscompleted.
3.Turnoffboththetransmitterandthereceiver.
4.Turnonthetransmitterandconnectthebattery.TheREDLEDonthereceiverindicatesthereceiverisreceiving
commandsfromthetransmitter.Thereceiver/transmittermodulebindingwillnothavetoberepeated,unlessoneofthe
twoisreplaced.
Note:Afterbindingprocedureiscompleted,recyclethepowerandcheckifthereceiverisreallyundercontrolbylinked
transmitter.
RangeCheck
Apreflightrangecheckshouldbedonebeforeeachflyingsession.Reflectionsfromnearbymetalfences,concrete
buildingsortreescancauselossofsignalbothduringrangecheckandduringtheflight.Followthestepsbelowtoperform
therangecheck.
1.Placethemodelatleast60cm(twofeet)abovenonmetalcontaminatedground(e.g.onawoodenbench).
2.Thereceiverantennasshouldbeseparatedinthemodel,anddonottouchtheground.
3.Themoduleantennashouldbeinaverticalposition.
4.Turnonthetransmitterandthereceiver,presstheF/SbuttonontheXJTmodulefor4secondstoenterrangecheck
mode,theREDLEDwillbeoff,GREENLEDwillflashrapidly.Theeffectivedistancewillbedecreasedto1/30(atleast30m).
5.Walkawayfromthemodelwhilesimultaneouslyoperatingthecontrolsonthetransmittertoconfirmallcontrols’
normaloperation.
6.PresstheF/SbuttonontheXJTmodulefor1~4secondstoexitrangecheckmode,REDLEDwillbebackon,indicating
normaloperationisback.
Failsafe
Failsafeisausefulfeatureinwhichallcontrolsmovetoapresetpositionwheneverthecontrolsignalislostforaperiodof
time.2.4GReceiverX8Rsupportsfailsafefunctionforallchannels.Followthestepsbelowtosetfailsafepositionsforeach
channel:
1.Bindthereceiverfirstandturnonboththetransmitterandthereceiver;
2.Movethecontrolstothedesiredfailsafepositionforallchannels;
3.PressbrieflytheF/Sbuttononthereceiver(lessthan1second).TheGreenLEDwillflashtwice,indicatingthefailsafe
positionhasbeensetinthereceiver.
Todisablethefailsafefunction,rebindthereceiver.
Failsafeisrecommendedtosetwhensystemisfirstlyused,orreceiverhasbeenrebound.Followstepsbelowtoset
failsafe.
Option1.Howtosetfailsafetoauserdeterminedstateonlostsignal:
1)Bindthereceivertothetransmittermodulefirstandturnonboththetransmitterandthereceiver;
2)Movethecontrolstodesiredfailsafepositionforallchannels;
3)PressbrieflytheF/Sbuttononthereceiverandyouaredone.
Option2.Howtosetfailsafefornopulsesonlostsignal:
1)Turnoffthetransmitter,poweronthereceiver,andthenpressbrieflytheF/Sbuttononthereceiver.
Note:Iffailsafeisnotset,failsafedefaultwillholdlastpositionbeforesignalislost.Inthiscase,thereexistsriskthat
yourmodelwillflyawayorcauseinjury.
