IDE drlves By deIauIt lour IDE drives are supported. Ideally hard disks are connected to IDE channel 1, and accessible drives. for example CD»ROMs, to IDE channel 2 (see also the Technical Manual tor the system board). The two existing IDE cables of the channels can be used for this purpose. SCSI drives it you want to install an, SCSI drive, you require an SCSI controller and an SCSI cable Note that- - not every SCSI controller is suitable tor operattrig SCSI hard disks - each SCSl device must be assigned its own SCSHD c a device with activated or connected terminating resistors must always be connected at the end of an SCSI cable. The terminating resistors at all other SCSI devrces attached must not be activated or connected. 60 AzeastrKuertuz—t 7619 Installing and removing drives System expansions Changing the floppy disk drive > Open the system unit (see "Opening the system unit“). > Remove the knurled screw (1) and lake ihe drive out 0! the system unit (2).
