Remember, driving comes first, not the call! Using a mobile phone while driving can distract you and increase the likelihood of an accident. If driving conditions demand it (such as bad weather, high traffic density, presence of children in the car, difficult road conditions), pull off the road and park before making or answering calls. Also, try to keep conversations short and do not make notes or read documents. Always drive safely and follow local laws. What your headset can do • • Specifications: Talk time/standby time 4-6 hours talk time (subject to phone), 110 hours standby Rechargeable battery with charging option from AC power supply or car charger (not included) Weight 18 g Operating range up to 33 feet / 10 m Headset and hands-free Bluetooth profiles Bluetooth1 specification (see glossary) version 1.2 • • • • • • About your Jabra BT130 Getting started The Jabra BT130 is easy to operate. The answer/end button on the headset performs different functions depending on how long you press it. LED light Blue indicates mode (pairing, active or standby) and battery charging Red indicates low battery level Volume up (+), volume down (–) Charging socket Answer/end button Press to turn headset on Press and hold to turn headset off Tap to answer or end a call Press this, and press volume up (+) button at same time, to put headset in pairing mode Earhook – flip and rotate 180° to fit left ear. (See fig. 2) Instruction: Duration of press: Tap Press briefly Press Approx: 1 second Press and hold Approx: 5 seconds Charge your headset Make sure that your Jabra BT130 headset is fully charged before you start using it. Use the AC adapter to charge from a power socket, or charge directly from your PC with the USB cable provided. Connect your headset as shown in fig. 3. When the LED is solid blue, your headset is charging. When the solid blue LED turns off, it is fully charged. English • • Press the answer/end button to turn on your headset Press and hold the answer/end button to turn off your headset Pair it with your phone Before you use your Jabra BT130, you need to pair it with your mobile phone. 1. Put the headset in pairing2 mode Make sure that the headset is on. Press the answer/end button and press the volume up (+) button at the same time, until a solid blue light comes on. 2. Set your Bluetooth phone to ‘discover’ the Jabra BT130 Follow your phone’s instruction guide. This usually involves going to a ‘setup,’ ‘connect’ or ‘Bluetooth’ menu on your phone and selecting the option to ‘discover’ or ‘add’ a Bluetooth device.* (See example from a typical mobile phone in fig. 4) • End a call Tap the answer/end button to end an active call • Reject a call (Dependent on your phone supporting this feature) Press the answer/end button when the phone rings to reject an incoming call. Depending on your phone settings, the person who called you will either be forwarded to your voice mail or hear a busy signal • Make a call When you make a call from your mobile phone, the call will (subject to phone settings) automatically transfer to your headset • Activate voice dialing (Dependent on your phone supporting this feature) Tap the answer/end button. For best results, record the voice-dialing tag through your headset. Please consult your phone’s user manual for more information about using this feature • • Your phone will confirm when pairing is complete. In case of unsuccessful pairing, repeat steps 1 to 3. • Wear it how you like it The Jabra BT130 is ready to wear on your right ear. If you prefer the left, gently flip and rotate the earhook 180°. (See fig. 2) For optimal performance, wear the Jabra BT130 and your mobile phone on the same side of your body or within line of sight. In general, you will get better performance when there are no obstructions between your headset and your mobile phone. Answer a call Tap the answer/end button on your headset to answer a call 3. Your phone will find the Jabra BT130 Your phone then asks if you want to pair with it. Accept by pressing ‘Yes’ or ‘OK’ on the phone and confirm with the passkey or PIN3 = 0000 (4 zeros). It gives you a cordless connection with the following headset features: answer/end call and voice dial function (if supported by the phone). Rejecting a call and last number redial might not be supported through the headset jack in the mobile phone. I cannot use Reject call, Call on hold, Redial or Voice dialing These functions are dependent on your phone supporting them. Please check your phone’s manual for further details. Will the Jabra BT130 work with other Bluetooth equipment? The Jabra BT130 is designed to work with Bluetooth mobile phones. It can also work with other Bluetooth devices that are compliant with Bluetooth version 1.1 or 1.2 and support a headset and/or hands-free profile. Always store the Jabra BT130 with power off and safely protected. • To answer a call: either tap the answer/end button on your headset or press the answer button on your mobile phone Troubleshooting & FAQ I hear crackling noises For the best audio quality, always wear your headset on the same side of the body as your mobile phone. I cannot hear anything in my headset Increase the volume on the headset • • • Ensure that the headset is paired with the phone Make sure that the phone is connected to the headset – if it does not connect either from the phone’s Bluetooth menu or by tapping the answer/end button, follow the pairing procedure (See section 3) I have pairing problems even though my phone indicates otherwise You may have deleted your headset pairing connection in your mobile phone. Follow the pairing instructions in section 3. Put the Jabra A210 adapter in pairing mode Put your Jabra BT130 in pairing mode English Taking care of your headset 2. Avoid storage at high temperatures (above 60°C / 134°F) – such as in a hot vehicle or in direct sunlight. (Storage at high temperatures can degrade performance and reduce battery life). 3. Do not expose the headset or any of its supplied parts to rain or other liquids. 11 Warranty Jabra limited product warranty. Jabra warrants to Purchaser that for a period of one (1) year after the date of purchase (the “Warranty Period”) of any Jabra Product (“Product”) by Purchaser, the Product will substantially conform to Jabra’s published specifications for the Product on the date of Purchaser’s purchase of the Product, subject to the terms herein. Purchaser shall notify Jabra of any nonconformance during the Warranty Period and obtain a written return material authorization (“RMA”) and an RMA number for the nonconforming Product from Jabra and return the nonconforming Product to Jabra, freight prepaid, with a statement describing the nonconformity. Jabra’s exclusive obligation with respect to nonconforming Product shall be, at Jabra’s option and expense, to repair or replace such Product so that it substantially conforms with its published specifications on the date of Purchaser’s purchase, or, if Jabra, in Jabra’s sole discretion, determines that it is not possible to repair or replace the Product, Jabra may, at Jabra’s option, refund to Purchaser the purchase 12 Certification and safety approvals FCC This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Transfer of Jabra products through any unauthorized distributor renders our manufacturer’s warranty null and void. BUYER BEWARE: any Jabra product sold by a private party or unauthorized distributor and not by an authorized Jabra retail seller is sold on an “as is” or “with all faults” basis with respect to Jabra. As such, the entire risk as to the quality and performance of such products will be with the buyer if the unauthorized distributor will not cover the costs of repairing defects. Should such products prove defective following their purchase, the buyer or unauthorized distributor, and not the manufacturer or its authorized retail sellers, assumes the entire cost of all necessary servicing or repair. Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. The user must place the base 8” (20cm) or more from any personnel in order to comply with FCC RF exposure requirements. Bluetooth phones support either the headset profile, the hands-free profile or both. In order to support a certain profile, a phone manufacturer must implement certain mandatory features within the phone’s software. 2 Pairing: creates a unique and encrypted link between two Bluetooth devices and lets them communicate with each other. Bluetooth devices will not work if the devices have not been paired. 3 Passkey or PIN: is a code that you enter on your mobile phone to pair it with your Jabra BT130. This makes your phone and the Jabra BT130 recognize each other and automatically work together. 4 Standby mode: is when the Jabra BT130 is passively waiting for a call. When you ‘end’ a call on your mobile phone, the headset goes into standby mode. 1. Français Toute utilisation d’un téléphone portable pendant la conduite suscite, pour le conducteur, une distraction qui peut augmenter le risque d’accident. Si les conditions de conduite l’exigent (par exemple par mauvais temps, en cas de circulation dense, de présence d’enfants dans la voiture ou de routes en mauvais état), quittez la route et garez-vous avant d’effectuer ou de répondre à un appel. Veillez aussi à écourter les communications et à ne pas prendre de notes ni lire de documents. Les fonctionnalités de votre oreillette Mise en route L’oreillette Jabra BT130 est simple à utiliser. Le bouton Répondre/Mettre fin à un appel de l’oreillette exécute des fonctions différentes en fonction de la manière dont vous appuyez dessus. Instruction: Durée d’enfoncement : Presser Appuyer brièvement Appuyer Environ 1 seconde Maintenir enfoncé Environ 5 secondes Chargement de votre oreillette Assurez-vous que votre oreillette Jabra BT130 est complètement chargée avant de commencer à l’utiliser. Utilisez l’adaptateur de secteur pour la charger à partir d’une prise de courant ou chargez-la directement à partir de votre ordinateur à l’aide du câble USB fourni. Connectez votre oreillette comme indiqué dans le schéma 3. Lorsque le voyant bleu est allumé en continu, votre oreillette est en cours de chargement. Lorsque le voyant bleu s’éteint, le chargement est terminé. 13 • Appuyez sur le bouton Répondre/Mettre fin à un appel pour mettre votre oreillette en marche. • Maintenez enfoncé le bouton Répondre/Mettre fin à un appel pour éteindre votre oreillette Appairage avec votre téléphone Français Avant d’utiliser votre oreillette Jabra BT130, vous devez l’appairer à votre téléphone portable. 1. Mettre l’oreillette en mode appairage2 Assurez-vous que l’oreillette est en marche. Appuyez en même temps sur le bouton Répondre/Mettre fin à un appel et sur le bouton d’augmentation du volume (+) jusqu’à ce que le voyant bleu apparaisse et s’allume en continu. 2. Réglez votre téléphone Bluetooth pour « détecter » le Jabra BT130 Consultez le manuel d’utilisation de votre téléphone. En règle générale, la procédure à suivre implique d’accéder, sur votre téléphone à un menu d’« installation », de « connexion » ou « Bluetooth » puis de sélectionner l’option « détecter » ou « ajouter » un périphérique Bluetooth.* (Voir l’exemple d’un téléphone portable type dans le schéma 4) 3. Votre téléphone détecte l’oreillette Jabra BT130 Votre téléphone vous demande ensuite si vous voulez effectuer un appairage. Acceptez en appuyant sur « Oui » ou sur « OK » sur le téléphone et confirmez en composant le mot de passe ou le code PIN3 = 0000 (4 zéros). Une fois l’appairage terminé, le téléphone confirme que la procédure a réussi. Dans l’éventualité où elle aurait échoué, reprendre les étapes 1 à 3. Portez-la comme vous le souhaitez L’oreillette Jabra BT130 est prête à porter sur l’oreille droite. Si vous préférez l’oreille gauche, faites tourner doucement l’écouteur à 180°. (Voir le schéma 2) 14 Pour un fonctionnement optimal, portez l’oreillette Jabra BT130 et votre téléphone portable du même côté ou dans un même alignement. En règle générale, vous obtiendrez un meilleur fonctionnement lorsqu’il n’y a aucun obstacle entre votre oreillette et votre téléphone portable. Il permet une connexion sans fil aux fonctions suivantes de l’oreillette : répondre/ mettre fin à un appel et fonction de numérotation vocale (en fonction des modèles de téléphones). Les fonctions de rejet d’appel et de rappel du dernier numéro peuvent ne pas être compatibles avec la prise oreillette du téléphone portable. Appairage de l’oreillette BT130 avec l’adaptateur Jabra A210 Le processus de pairage est un peu différent : • • • Mettez votre oreillette Jabra BT130 en mode appairage Mettez l’adaptateur Jabra A210 en mode appairage Placez-les à proximité l’un de l’autre. Vous n’avez pas besoin d’un code PIN dédié pour appairer les deux appareils Jabra. (Une exposition à de fortes températures est susceptible de nuire aux performances de l’appareil et de réduire la durée de vie de la batterie). 3. El botón de respuesta/finalización del auricular realiza distintas funciones según la duración de la pulsación. Instrucciones: Duración de la pulsación: Pulsación ligera Pulse brevemente Pulsar Aprox: 1 segundo Mantener pulsado Aprox: 5 segundos Carga del auricular Compruebe que su Jabra BT130 esté totalmente cargado antes de empezar a utilizarlo. Utilice el adaptador de CA para cargarlo desde un enchufe o cárguelo directamente desde su PC con el cable USB incluido. Conecte el auricular tal como se muestra en la fig. 3. Si el LED está encendido en azul, el auricular se está cargando. Cuando se apaga el indicador LED azul, significa que está totalmente cargado. 25 • • Pulse el botón de respuesta/finalización para encender el auricular Mantenga pulsado el botón de respuesta/finalización para apagar el auricular Emparejado con su teléfono Antes de usar el Jabra BT130 deberá emparejarlo con su teléfono móvil. 1. Ponga el auricular en modo de emparejado2 Compruebe que el auricular esté encendido. Español Pulse el botón de respuesta/finalización y pulse al mismo tiempo el botón de aumentar volumen (+) hasta que se encienda una luz azul. 2. Fije su teléfono Bluetooth para que ‘descubra’ el Jabra BT130 Siga las instrucciones de su teléfono. Normalmente tendrá que ir a un menú de ‘configuración’, ‘conexión’ o ‘Bluetooth’ de su teléfono y seleccionar la opción para ‘descubrir’ o ‘añadir’ un dispositivo Bluetooth* (la figura 4 muestra el ejemplo de un teléfono móvil normal) 3. Su teléfono móvil encontrará el Jabra BT130 Entonces el teléfono le pedirá si quiere emparejarlo con él. Acepte pulsando `Sí ´ u ‘OK’ en el teléfono y confirme con el código de secreto o PIN3 = 0000 (4 ceros). Su teléfono le informará cuando haya finalizado el emparejado. Si falla el intento de emparejado, repita los pasos 1 a 3. Llévelo como guste El Jabra BT130 está listo para llevarlo en la oreja derecha. Si prefiere la izquierda, despliegue y gire suavemente 180° el gancho. (Consulte la figura 2) Para conseguir un rendimiento óptimo, lleve el Jabra BT130 y el teléfono móvil al mismo lado del cuerpo, o manteniendo una línea de visión entre ellos. En general, conseguirá mejor rendimiento si no hay obstáculos entre el auricular y el teléfono móvil Un toque de color: cambie la carcasa Retire la carcasa actual tirando de la ranura de la parte superior Presione en su sitio la nueva carcasa (Consulte la figura 5) • • 26 Encienda el auricular Cómo... En función de la configuración de su teléfono, la persona que le llama será redirigida a su buzón de voz u oirá una señal de ocupado • Español Realizar llamadas Cuando haga una llamada desde su teléfono móvil, ésta (sujeto a la configuración del teléfono) se transferirá automáticamente al auricular • Marcado activado por la voz (si su teléfono dispone de esta función) Presione ligeramente el botón de respuesta/finalización. Emparejado del Jabra BT130 con el Jabra A210 El proceso de emparejado es ligeramente distinto: Español • • • ¿Funciona el Jabra BT130 con otros equipos Bluetooth? El Jabra BT130 se ha diseñado para funcionar con teléfonos móviles Bluetooth. También puede funcionar con otros dispositivos Bluetooth conformes con la norma Bluetooth versión 1.1 o 1.2 y que admitan un perfil de auricular o de manos libres. Ponga el adaptador Jabra A210 en modo emparejado Colóquelos cerca el uno del otro. Para emparejar ambos productos Jabra no se necesita un código PIN exclusivo.
