According to section 15214 of the FCC rules cordless telephone! shall incorporate circuitry which make use I
of a digital security code to provide protection against unintentional access to the public switched telephone .
network by the base unit and unintentional ringing by the headset. There must be provision for at least 256 .
possible discrete digital codes
Please note that this application is a cordless headset phone‘ which is used as an accessory for a corded I
phone.
Access to the public telephone network is not possible without using the existing corded telephone. The
cordless headset alone cannot make any access to the public telephone network. Also answering of calls is
only possible if the user lift the handset Erorn the corded phone. For evidence please see the User ManuaL
Nevertheless I can confirm that this EUT meets this requirement. The security coda are not limited to 256
but are in pondple infinite and are factory set merging the base and remote unit together as a pair.
The equipment uses the transmission scheme similar to DliC’l‘ meaning a very high level of secutity in order
to protect privacy.
